I'm an information technologies professional, specialized in the development of complex, corporate applications. With an integral vision of the technical, business and human aspects of the work at hand. With experience administering software development projects using agile methodologies. Ample and intensive experience with free and open source software. Interested in social software phenomena. Committed to the highest professional and human standards. Even though my experience covers a vast spectrum of language levels, from 6502/68000/68HC11/x86 assembly languages up, my professional specialization has been towards server-side Java applications. Of particular relevance are my strong ties with Free/Open Source technologies, from the Java point of view: the Apache stack of technologies, the JBoss stack of technologies (with a particular place for the application server and for jBPM), and the Mule messaging-based middleware. In the organization for which I work nowadays I've successfully introduced the XP methodology, even at the same time that the CMMI (level 3) processes were being implemented! It is noteworthy that the CMMI appraisal was successful, and that the XP practices are compatible with the CMMI demands. The projects in which I have recently participated have had an intense demand of technology integration. Therefore, I've become familiar with a heterogeneous set of technologies (including J2EE, Hibernate, Web Services...), frameworks (Apache Tapestry, Mule, Spring...) and architectural patterns. I've worked with a number of operating systems, both as a user (the Windows family of products, several flavors of Unix: Solaris, HPUX, Irix, GNU/Linux, MacOS X) and as an administrator (Solaris, GNU/Linux, Windows). I consider myself *very* acquainted with the GNU/Linux platform. I was one of the first Red Hat Certified Engineers in México (perhaps the very first one). I am Mexican citizen, but since October, 2006, I've had my residence at Spain (City of León).
