I have a Nokia X6 16GB, with product number 0598934.

My question is that why isn't there any v32.x.... Or v40.x..... update available for it, especially for this specific product number.

Can Nokia clarify this and enlighten me, because I am more than frustrated due to the poor service offered to me in past. Is this whole batch of X6 have an undergrade part(say weaker processor or something like that, because nothing can be sure with this company, my hopes believes are shattered anyways).

And if we are not going to get an update, tell us why, or you are doing nothing but giving me(us maybe) more reasons to 'hate' Nokia(as if I haven't gone through whole lot of trouble before).

Oh, also I know that rolling an update worldwide take time, but what about skipping/or not getting an update even after whole world has it, does it justify buying a cell which is not getting update just because its from a specific batch. And no, my cell is not a locked one.

updates vary be region and product code.

you might also have a network branded device, and in this case only your network operator must approve the new firmware first before you get it on your device.

Yes, it's correct Pavilion_alax, but Nokia doesn't release the last update for the devices Nokia X6, 5530 XM and 5800 XM to network branded productcodes.

Welcome to the 'Product Code Lottery'. I also have an X6-00 32GB (0591469) that was bought direct from the Nokia Online Shop (when it was alive) and my handset too is stuck at V31 firmware. My handset is totally unbranded and only ever had Nokia firmware.

The real frustration is knowing that network branded handsets such as those from Orange, O2, Vodafone etc. actually have access to later firmwares than my UK country variant.

In a nutshell, Nokia haven't got round to releasing the latest f/w for our particular product code devices and there's no knowing if they ever will. Majorly frustrating I haven't checked your particular product code but as others have said, if yours is network branded then the delay is the fault of the network operator.

Me? I gave up in the end and got something else. I'd had enough of playing the waiting game.

*EDIT* You need to keep hassling Nokia for an update then, either by contacting their online support here or by visiting a customer care centre. Check out the following thread, in the software update section of the forum:
