Re: X3-02 Sync Google Calendar

I found this tool too.... but (with all versions on the page) I get an error message, that it is not possible to install the tool. I wrote to the support e-mail adress but I've got no answer.

Any suggestions?

Syncing Gmail on X3-02
Note: Because the software on the X3-02 is
Series 40 the phone supports only SyncML
standard. SyncML standard (unlike Gsync) is no longer supported by google
for calendar (although you can still sync contacts using m.google.com/syncml but i haven't tried this). If the phone is series 60 and later, such as symbian, you can use Gsync.
For series 40, you need to use a different server, such as syncme.se (as used below).
1. Set up synchronisation account
Menu>Settings>Configuration>Personal
Settings>Options>Add new
Account name: Syncme
Server Address: https://syncme.se/
User name: [gmail e.g. email@domain.com]
Password: [gmail password]
Calendar Database>
Database Addr.: Calendar
User Name: same as gmail :squint:
Password: same as gmail :squint:
Use Preferred access point: Yes
press Back
2 Activate sync account
Press and hold syncme>Activate
"Activated for synchronisation"
press back
3 Configure Account
-go into Define configuration settings
-Select personal config
-go into def. in all apps
-select yes
press back
4 Sync Mail
Sync & Backup> Sync w. server
-if it says "Selected settings invalid for synchronisation"
-select yes select another set of sync settings.
Config: Default
Account: Syncme
Uname: (should adapt to the account chosen) [gmail address]
PAssword: same as gmail password
Back
"Sync data with personal config syncme?
Calendar"
Yes
>>>>Should now initialise synchronisation.

I had a same problem. Finally there was a simple solution to that. There is a software called www.soocial.com. This applcation works really easily with X3-02.

I linked my phone with Gmail address book and I got my 1200 conatcts. If you have less than 250 contacts it is free, otherwise it costs around 3 euros / month.

1. sign up for soocial.com

2. give your phone details

3. they will send you settings for your phone

4. save the settings

5. same time get your connection link up and running (ie gmail contacts)

6. after you have the contacts at soocial goto your settings on your X3-02

7. go to synchronisation

8. synchronisation with server

9. choose address book and sync!

Only problem; at least for me it is now manual, not automatic.......

Re: X3-02 Sync Google Calendar

worked for me! but i had to disable anything else that tried to sync and only allow the calendar to sync. or else it produced an error saying that data transfer wasn't possible.

thanks!
