X2-01 - software-related battery problems?

Dear support team,

 

I've been having problems with my Nokia X2 of late which is confusing me since I only bought the phone about half a year ago. So a few weeks ago, the phone would refuse to charge and the time would be displayed wrongly on the display - it just stopped moving forward. Once I went to settings, it would show correctly but stop again. I wanted to do a software update but it failed. After turning the phone on and of a couple of times, it suddenly worked properly again - until now.

 

I don't know what happened, but when I'm charging my phone until it states "Battery full" and then remove it from the outlet, it suddenly goes back to "Battery low". I've been repeating the charging attempt a couple of times but it's always the same.

 

I don't think it's the battery because it has been working properly. I rather suspect that there is something wrong with my phone's software. What do you think? What can I do?
