I have forgotten the security code of my nokia x3-02. I tried unlocking it with master code but i found out that the master code solution works only for DCT-3 and DCT-4 phones. I really want to know if there is any hope for unlocking it because i really like this phone

Its possible to reset the Security code only at Nokia Care... but if you have not kept a back-up of your data.. you are bound to lose it..

i got an odd problem.

i set my security code same as my 6 digit atm pin.

now, it wont accept it. even the default security code. LOL

hope that an update can fix this.

Your phone is equipped with one or more codes to protect it against unauthorized use. The PIN and PUK codes protect the SIM card, while the security code protects the device itself.

If your phone is prompting you for a security code and you have not activated one, please try the following:

Enter the default security code: 12345. Only try this once.
If your phone still requests a security code, please bring it to the nearest Nokia Care point for inspection.
Please note:
Some operators configure phones so that they only work with their SIM cards. In this case, if you enter the wrong code three or more consecutive times, the phone may lock permanently. If this happens, contact your operator or service provider for assistance.

In other cases when you enter the wrong code three or more consecutive times, the phone switches to a "sleep mode" and does not accept any entries for the next 15 minutes. In this case, power the phone off, then back on, let it sit idle or untouched for 15 minutes, then try again.

already tried the idle thingy. i even do it for 30 minutes. sometimes overnight, LOL

yep, its a security code. i wont be able to change it without the default 12345.

in some cases a reset can help you can try it
back up your data first including contacts and apps
then type in *#7780# security code is 12345.

I have locked my new phone (X3-02) and it has asked me for a PUK code which i have put in, then it asked for "Enter new PIN code" which I do so using 12345 then it asked for you to verify this which I do, then it comes up with an error message stating that it was incorrect and that i know have 3 attemps left out of a possible of 9.
I would very much hope you have the answer

Hi there,

I'm hoping that you can help. I only just brought my nokia x3 02 and have been playing around with it. I went and turned on the phone locking device and now it is locked and i cant unlock it. It is saying 'PIN blocked. Enter PUK code' which i am doing and then it asks to reset the pin.. i have used 12345 and then to confirm i use 12345 again and it is saying error, and I now only have 5 attempts left.

If you can help i would eb very grateful

Try to rest your device for at least 5 mins (don't press anything). After 5 mins, input your security code again.

To reset the security code to the factory preset code which is 12345 , plz do the following

 take out the battery wait a second then put it back in, press green,red and camera key togther.. untill ur phone ask 4 country name or date \ time ,,
