recentlyy i have updated my phone software to v40.0.0.2..

after that whenever i send any textmsg and then delivey report is recevied i get message tone and for some 1-2 sec it shows new msg received but actually delivery report is recieved..

pls help ..

Welcome to the forum and thnaks for your recent comments.

You will need to turn off the message delivery report go to menu> messaging> options> Settings> Text message  then 'choose receive report'(NO)

If you want to turn off the delivery report sound then  you will need to go to Menu> Settings> Profiles> General> ( choose option ) personalize ------> and switch off message alert tone.

This should solve your query and we welcome all future comments from your end.

thanks for your reply but i know already know that settings..

i want to say that delivery reports are acting as messages...when i receive delivery report i should only get a beep sound and delivery status ..but in my mobile delivery reports are acting as new messege..

in my previous firmware version i.e. V32 i don't face any such problem but after updating i am getting this type of problem..

Go to profiles and try turning of warning sounds,this may affect some other features.
Is your handset branded?IE locked to a network..

i have tried that too before but that also does't help....but after re-installing firmware my problem was solved

getting the same issue..everyime i send a message i get a message tone, and when i check there's nothing.. only a delivery report.. stupid phone

If the problem started after the update.. try Re-installing the Firmware ...

Turn of NIMBUZZ ping.. then msg tone will not be there with delivery reports
