Can I update from simian^3 to symbian belle directly on my nokia c6-01 ?
or do I have to be updated to symbian anna to go through update to symbian belle?
Another question : Any idea about an official date for symbian belle update for c6-01 ?

You can update directly from Anna to belle. And the release date for belle will be sometime in late November or early December.

Sorry- I meant from symbian 3 to belle- surpassing Anna. But update file size may be larger.

As for your question about the exact date, no one can give an exact date. Nokia never releases updates schedules. So no matter how many times you ask, you'll not get an answer unless the actual update has been released already by Nokia. You can get a time frame... For symbian belle its fourth quarter of 2011. Probably December...

I have a nokia c6-01 running on symbian^3 I didn't want to update it jut not to lose too much  phone memory, am I correct or should I update to symbian anna ?

You should always update your phone software, it has nothing to do with the available phone memory, the device software updates are installed to the ROM of the phones which is reserved for firmware. Always upgrade to the latest software version to get the best out of your phone.

To add to the discussion, it has been stated by Nokia representatives that even if a user has not received / installed the Symbian Anna update on their phone, they will still be able to upgrade directly to Symbian Belle. i.e. irrespective of whatever version of Symbian^3 the user is running.

Like the Android, they have been updating their OS without delay NOT like Nokia, even my C6-01 has yet to receive Symbian Belle update. Nokia should have rolled out the update by NOW!!! So where's the BELLE Nokia? where is it?

Be patient denisenric a lot of procedure is involved in the software update process.

Blatantly not true about Android. None of the original handsets released with S^3 have received Belle as an update, the only handsets running Belle are the models which were released with Belle out of the box. So what are you on about ?
