Many forum vistors suggest its a secondary power back up problem

OK But I start experence after 4.07 update and this continues after the latest 5.0

If you power off the phone and then power it on again, and it always asks you to re-enter the time/date, then there is something wrong with the hardware (it could be a secondary backup battery for the internal clock, or something else). Have a Nokia repair center fix it.

It is a hardware problem (real time clock aux battery). I've got this problem since I bought the phone. I don't want to send my n80 to a nokia repair center, so I never switch off my phone. When I go to sleep, I change to offline mode. In the morning, I change to normal mode. It's easy. ;-)

Do you need any help on changing to offline mode?

Just go to clock setting and set Network Operator Time to Auto-update and your problem solved.
