i'm from egypt i bought a brand new nokia 5800 xpressmusic 3 month ago after i bought it realised it does not support the tv out mode doesn't have the tv out caple and it didin't have the stand that u put the phone on and watch videos there were only the red and the blue color and we didn't get the navigation edition so i boought the red one and then i reallised what it was made in china  i was so angry 

all that **bleep** got me really mad but the first two month i really enjoyed owing the nokia 5800

till started collapsing

first sometimes then phone won't even start after turning it off then the home screen was **bleep**ed up the shortcut bar suddenly disapeared and  something was in its place i couldn't see it but i could touch it and guess what happens when i touch it that's right nothing happens i couldn't acces the dialing numbers or the contacs from my home screeen hint: i didn't even install a theme the phone got real slow that's when a friend told me why don't u update ur phone and that's gonna solve evrything i thought that's a goood idea 

i went home downloaded nokia software updater from nokia .com i hooked up my phone to the computer the software updater identified it my current software version is 21.0.025 i know that's old so i searched for new framework an guess what i found for my phone no new software i can't install any new apps and then i said okay that's just my god damn luck i thought may be i'll just install the same software agian it will still solve some proplems so i went for it  it downloaded the software and installed it and the phone restarted  and guess what nothing happened no software was installed just the same old one so i tried again and again and again it won't work god damn it i tried re installing the software updater nothing 

sorry for the long talking but my question is why the hell nokia sends us second hand made cell phones made in china with  less accesories no software upodates and it just starts collapsing i really need an answer to my proplems and my questions

Well they wont respond as this is not Nokia its a Nokia users forum .

Suggest you contact Nokia .

What is your product code  it may identify a genuine Nokia phone and also the current available firmware .

Three months old means the phone is still under warranty take it back .

Specifications as to TV Out  Stand etc are on the box .

The software updater will tell you what version software you have  no point putting the same software to repeated updates .

You cannot install any apps  what none at all .

My suggestion  would be one take the phone to a Nokia care centre  . Two write your letter of complaint to Nokia .

If you dont want to go down that route users on this forum if asked nicely may suggest possible fix .

We live in UAE, my friends have  nokia phones, not made in Finland, it says made in china by the authirty of Nokia, or something, mine is the same, some of them bought  like 6 months ago, even more, V20, it still works great, I bought mine 2 weeks ago, v31, it supports tv out, and v40, and v40 works with no bugs at all, and fast, I think it's the usage, did it fell of your hand? or something? or downloaded unsigned programmes? I mean the phone wont just shut down all of  the sudden.

@rowisramy First of all, there was a batch of slightly cheaper 5800 phones with no TV-out. There should be a little sticker on the box saying so. Which means your dealer pulled your leg. Second. The phone slowing down could be caused by a variety of reasons, such as perhaps you connected it to a virus infected PC, and that virus accessed the card and corrupted a file, generally creating instability on the phone causing lags, and restarts. My advise would be to reformat the card. Get a copy of everything you have there that you do not want to lose. Also check it for errors. If the corruption has spread to the phone, you need to reformat the phone. Third, Nokia does have a factory in China and quality is technically the same. They are not second hand. However if your dealer said it was second hand, well its not Nokia's fault Fourth your phone not having updates could be due to a variety of reasons. It could be a branded phone for all we know, and branded phones do not get software updates until the brand owner approves the update. We would need more details. Fifth, this is a user-to-user forum, and if you are expecting anybody from Nokia here to take time to read your post, you are badly mistaken. Although there are a few Nokia employees here, they comprise less than 10% of the forum population AFAIK, and one responding to your query would be just short of impossible.
