I own a Nokia 3250 and would like to update its Operating system. I have visited the Nokia website and found out that one of the requirements for updating is to have an internet connected computer. I am wondering if this is necessary as I have the nokia PC Suit installed in my computer and I have already downloaded the Nokia Software Updater, and my computer does not have a connection to the internet.

You will need a good, reliable, fast internet connection so NSU can access the update server and download the necessary update files.

You must be connected to the internet - the software updater downloads the latest software from Nokia servers before installing it to the phone. You can't do it without an internet connection, if you really can't get access to the net with your PC then you would have to be updated by a Nokia service point.
