hi all ! a just updated the software ofmy phone 6300 all in english, i wat to restore the old version wich was french ! how cani do that ?? thanks

Normally if you update with the NSU (Nokia Software Updater) the language choice or even the region code won´t be affected.

How did you update your phone?

i did that by installing NSU from nokia website by downloading this "NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_fr_new.exe" it whritten fr, but there aren't french language after the update

All that means is the software running on your computer and performing the update on your phone is in French. It says nothing about what will be downloaded and installed into your phone.

Have you at least tried Menu > Settings > Phone > Language settings?

yep i already tried the phone settings, there's no french only english

In that case your only course of action is to take the phone to your local care point.

They will probably have to send the phone away to a service centre in the Ile de France region since no care points in France actually do anything on-site (I used to live in France - in Chinon, near Tours, hence the username grschinon - so I have first-hand experience of the situation in France.

In case you are wondering who to blame for the loss of language on your phone it's the retailer.

It has happened because your phone was imported from another country then modified to include the French language. If it had been a model designed to be sold in French speaking countries the language would not have been lost.

The retailer should have warned you that it was an imported model and told you not to up date it.
