If i want to firmware 32 from 31 into the Nokia 5530 i have problem.

After the phone download fw file about 3,5 MB into memory...i accept all dialogs and phone restart to update mode.... then after about 5 seconds restart again and boot to normal mode and show message -> "Phone not updated. Update package not compatible with the phone. Contact your service provider."

I do dot know what to do to update my phone to FW 32 thans a lot for help.

I had that "issue" with my N97, and it seems like it says: Not compatible. I contacted Nokia, but didn't get the best answer that time. It is not compatible, but what I also wondered about was why it's possible to start donwloading in the first place. I didn't get a answer to that.

What I did was using my computer with Ovis Suite and updated through that program. Or you could also try NSU to see if it is available there.

If neither Ovi suite nor NSU finds the update and says the phone has the most current update, you will have to wait.

And maybe some other user knowing the "issue" with the FOTA dropps by and answers it!

Give Ovi suite or NSU a try first!

hmm i tried NSU but it shows me that i have the newest software

and on left side is written

Current software 31 and under newest software 31

 i think i have to wait

Try Ovi suite before you give up. As I mentioned, I had this "issue" with the N97 but was still able to install the update with Ovi suite for some reason.

it seems it's depending on the version of the phone, I still have "old" 31 version and cannot download/install 32 (so I still don't have free maps ), guess I have to wait forever because I think it's something related to the hardware and (of course) Nokia doesn't have much interest on fixing it...
