Hey Guys,

I have a problem with my Nokia E72 and i was hoping maybe someone can help me out. I have been a Nokia fan for awhile now but after tonight i probably going to go with something else.

I wanted to back up my things and then reset my phone (hard reset) because it was slow and i thought it was a good idea. Clearly not!

After i restored my back up everything is gone, all my apps,themes everything is it normal? I don't get the point of backing up my things if i wont be able to restore them later anyway..

can someone help me please!

P.S it restored my contacts and notes only..

It would be pointless resetting the phone only to restore everything, including the reason why the phone was slowing down in the first place. The backup backs up personal irreplaceable data like your contacts etc. Everything else you are better off downloading and installing from scratch. This way you get a fresh install with the latest versions and hopefully revert your phone back to its original speed.

Thanks for your reply but how about my msgs?

It fails to restore them for some reason!!

Do you know how to fix that? I dont mind installing my apps but i need my msgs!!!

Try restoring the backup again. When retoring, were you given the option to choose what you want to restore? If yes then this time, choose messages only.

Try again. Sometimes it takes a few attempts.

..You may also reboot the PC and the Phone and then give it a go...

As a matter of interest approximately how many messages were stored?

i have tried rebooting my PC and my phone but that did not work for me.

I had about 130 sms

i dont worry about my apps i can always get them but i really would like to get my msgs back!

Is there anything else that i can try guys?
