just found the update in my apps-software update. have to do it on the pc tho. any chance of ota?

All you can do is wait and see if they release it OTA or not.

Not all updates are released as OTA in all countries so it may never appear. It may appear up to two months after the PC release so it's entirely your choice if you wait and see or update now using a PC.

It's highly unlikely that anyone from Nokia will be able to tell you if OTA is coming or not.

or you could find a free wireless internet connection and download the update that way.

it's the same thing. with Ovi Suite it downloads the entire update file, with OTA it downloads just the files that need to be updated.

pavillion_alex, using the phone on a free wireless access point isn't going to help when the update hasn't been released OTA.

I guess you misread the question, like many updates the one for this users X6 has been release for the PC updater only, not OTA. An OTA version may be released at a later date or it may never be released. Not all product codes get OTA and PC updates at the same time.
