I am having the same problem. Is there an alternative method for firware updates because this is just ridiculous. I really regret spending the 300 dollars on my phone!

ok. updating to new firmware depends on product code which represents your region of purchasing, language pack and if it's branded or not .... so NOKIA releases firmwares and release it for every product code depending on mentioned points

if ur product code hasn't the v.20 update, that means that nokia didn't release it for your product code yet or your phone is branded with an operator and that means that you should go to the operator care center

if your phone isn't branded, you may go to nokia care center and ask them for update if available

in windows vista you only need to enter in "Control Panel" - "User Accounts" - "Turn user accounts on or off"    deselect     "Use User Account Control..... " press OK then reinstall Nokia Software Updater and run the apllication.... will work....
