arghh....this is the screenshot of my phone when updating via NSU, i also tried updating via OTA. no results.

my product code is 0582855 (taiwan black v2) it came from my father as a gift present from taiwan, though i'm living at philippines, it's sim-free.

any help and clarifications will be delightedly appreciated.

Nokia have not approved a new firmware yet. You have to wait until Nokia do.

My N97's code (0585162 updated to V12 on 16 10 09 as did the X5800's ( Product code 0575581) updated to V30 0 011 ( both support ALS line 2)

A new software updater was released this week in UK

Before the software updater it showed no updates with the updater both  these models updated in the UK (sim Free)

sw updater is V 1 8 10 en which is the english version

So keep a look out for the new software updater and then I am sure you will get V30

as of today though you are correct the latest is V21 0 25 for you model code

You can bump your request until you're blue in the face. Nobody here can tell you when you'll be able to update. All you can do is check regularly and you'll know when the update is available.

Hey guys, I know that this is maybe not the place to post this question but i would like to ask anyway. My homescreen kinda doesn't work. Shortcuts all the suddent disappeared and never appeared again, even after restart and reinstall of system. Nothing helped. Now even dialing icon and contacts icon on the homescreen doesn't work. I don't F! get it! It is so irritiating. I'm waiting for the new update to resolve the problem hopefully. Or don't you know what could help??? Thank you.

@johnny check your home screen settings, you may have not chosen the shorcuts on home screen theme.

Well, I upgraded to a 5800 in July in the UK on Orange. Great handset and I'm perfectly happy with it but I can see there are a number of new firmware releases available from Nokia for some regions, but not yet for the UK/Orange. Like ardeeboi, my handset is still on V21.0.025 from April 2009.

Its no big deal but it would be nice to know some timescales for when the upgrades are available in the UK

I've spoken with Orange support who claim to have no input into the availability or otherwise of firmware updates so I thought I'd come to Nokia and see if any of you guys had any better visibility of when the latest firmware becomes available to UK users....

Actually this is a user-to-user forum, and there is zero involvement from Nokia employees except for forum moderation and censoring (eg. blocking inappropriate language).  This is why posts on with titles like "NOKIA EMPLOYEES PLS READ OMG!" are completely pointless.

Therefore this forum is as reliable for Nokia news as any other forum out there.
