Ok, tonight I've concluded that Belle may be months away, so I want to completely forget all about it. I decided to proceed with updating my software to 025.007, which I haven't bothered doing up until now because I thought Belle's release was imminent. The description of 025.007 made me feel like it was worthwhile going ahead with, so I proceeded to update - only to find that after downloading nearly 350Mb of God knows what, that I get the message stating that the update is not compatible with my phone?? WTH??

Does anyone know what this is about?

Thanks for the quick reply. My phone is a C7-00. OTA software update check says I need to use the Nokia suite/PC to perform this upgrade. I'm guessing because of the size of the download?
My current software version is 022.014.
My product code is 059D494, which is a UK unbranded as far as I know.

Its rather wierd, because if its NOT compatible..then it should inform at the start..

BTW the version (025.007) you are trying to update to IS available for your device..as you may check here too...

Hi, yes I'm connecting my phone to my laptop PC and when I start Nokia Suite I'm informed that I need to update my phone software to 025.007. When I proceed to do so, my phone is automatically backed up and then just before the update process starts it informs me that the update is not compatible with my phone.

I wonder if maybe the update file which was downloaded may have become corrupted in some way? Each time I try to repeat the process it tries to use the same download rather than downloading it all again. I have to figure out how to delete it and force a new download perhaps.

Problem solved!
Tried updating on another PC and it worked.
I can only guess that the downloaded files(s) was corrupted in some way.
