Re: fp2 features for n95 8gb

It doesn't work that way.

The N95-2/-4 is a S60v3FP1 phone and will stay that way. In order to have FP2 features then you need to have a phone with an operating system that supports them. The N85 or N96, for example. There have never been examples of a FP1 phone receiving features from FP2 in an update. There is, however, the N82 that the carousel feature right from the beginning, and it is the only FP1 phone to have it AFAIK.

Re: fp2 features for n95 8gb

I have been asking the same thing too with the N95-3. If you look at the specs some of the phones running s60 v3rd FP2 it is clear that N95's if they are -1,-2,-3,-4 can all run S60 v3rd FP2 instead we are stuck on s60 v3rd FP1. Everyone who has bought a phone within the past year and  a half are left behind. I've sent emails to Nokia asking if there will be an update but they said no. For this reason I will no longer get a Nokia becuase you will get left behind and if you buy one of their newer phones the same thing will happen where they will have two different versions of what is essentially should technically be the same OS!! :smileymad:
