Sorry you're right, I completely forgot that my N97 is working perfectly now. Actually better than perfect.

Maybe this means v2.1 is just around the corner. lolz

Why would the perfect N97 need any further updates? You can't improve upon perfecion.

I suspect you have become delusional through owning such a perfect phone.

Now, say after me - I love my perfect N97. There is no better phone manufacturer than Nokia. I will always buy Nokia phones because they are perfect!

To remind me that I'm not the only one having issues with this phone I Goggled the ' Nokia n97 v2.1 Firmware - What would you like to see? ' and had a good old read of the Google cached copy. It's good to see that Nokia can't completely erase the problems we are having from the record.

I think that might be one of the most stupid thing among all the stupid things Nokia has done. I and many, many others are experiencing a huge bunch of issues with this device. Customersupport does not even answere on our questions. Now, what would you do? - You would try to get help from others on the Nokia discussion-site... - Now, what if the issues can't be solved by us, because of hardwarefaults and softwarebugs? - You complain, or you expect Nokia to comment, or at least try to help us.

Damn there was an off topic reply going on within that thread that I was following. I don't remember seeing anything that infringed on discussion rules unless someone posted after I last logged on.Wish the moderators would explain why.

It could also be a technical issue. I'll PM one of the moderators to see what's happening.

It would be a shame for Nokia just to have deleted that thread as it contained some really good suggestions for improving the N97 (apart from the off topic discussions and a few rants), a lot of them too major for the minor release of v2.1 but possibly for the v3.0 firmware upgrade.

The thread seems to be removed.

At least we know someone from Nokia has seen it. We will hope that they read through and logged the issues before removing the thread. 

If Nokia implements all the things mentioned in that thread N97 would become a perfect phone (obviously apart from the memory issue.)

We will hope for a better V2.1

Hey timmyjo! How u doing? still enjoying tunewiki? Reinstalled it and it works good am yet to try it with the FM transmitter but yeah loving that SHOUTcast radio. Cheers

Phatdumi, Tunewiki is great. Shoutcast is the best source for internet radio stations. I can't seem to find a way to manually enter links. This has also replaced the built in music player for me. I had a WinMo device last year that had a program that would record the streams. That (and the manual link thing) would make this program perfect.
