Dear Nokia employees, have you lost your sanity or dignity that you're still working to a company that disrespected so many people all over the world? How is that possible at all? It's absolutely inacceptable to professionals, as you call yourselves, to humiliate people's expectations and cheating them only to take their money in a very cheap and unworthy way! At least you could have warned them officially about your intentions and not making people waiting, and waiting for so long? Don't you think we have the right to know something about it with an official announcement, but not just with only crossing out our phones from your list? That approach of internal policy of your company is really disgraceful and people who were so disappointed will not let you play them around cheating them in one thing or another! How you dare to neglect people's complaints about the matter and noone from your officials came out to point out the real reason about it and not giving to the peple an appropriate and accurate explanation on the happening? People deserve to know the truth, so please, come out and tell us personally what was the reason of a such disrespect! Either tell us the truth face to face, or you will lose us as clients forever and ever!!! That's not a warning, but the very truth! The disappointment was enormous and you owe us a simple explanation!

the updates for 5800 as well as 5530 will be released in some weeks, we're still working on those at the moment.

For C5-03 PR2.0 is already under roll out, meaning the first update batches have been released and more updates are added week by week.

Just cant understand y did nokia took such a step by cancelling it & that also giving any valid reason for it....

Maybe they will come out with a new firmware like C6 for these 3 models...therefore they might have striked off these 3 models from the list...(its a pure wild guess)

Y doesnt nokia come forward & give any clairfication on it???

Several negative comments are pouring in on several websites & blogs...is Nokia bothered about it or not??? 

Plz Nokia give us a surprise by announcing new firmware for 3 models...

Considering the phones are already too old by my book, those updates are just icing. Face it, its time to move on to a faster newer and better phone. Those phones (5800, X6, 5530, etc), may have been good enough last year, but not anymore. Its just your decision if you'd stick with Nokia or not.

Yes, a phone being two years old doesnt mean that you must get another one, but it also means to not expect it to be even remotely comparable in tems of speed and capability to newer phones. In the end, the hardware of the X6 is just even barely able to handle widgets. Just look at how bad the systems of the 3 phones with widgets are, and how stable the s60v5 units without widgets are compared to those.

We don't have the potential to change our phones every 6-12 month's or we love our phones and we don't want to change.. (i do my 5800xm)!!! and when i'm gonna change with SYMBIAN BELLE phone i'm gonna keep it for second phone..

As for the widgets on homescreen i thing that if we have 2 or 3 more everyone will be happy..

The music widget ALWAYS ON SCREEN even the player is closed.. it's xm phone!!!

Agenda widget is the second and weather (accuweather) widget is the third..

Of course it's missing screensaver with clock and tap or slide to unlock but this i have been added to my phone..,and of course we need the new browser...

I don't understand the delay of 5800,X6 updates.. It's not the same with C5-03?? Is there any difference with the previous model updates..???

P.S 1: Elop go away from NOKIA

it's not about phones r old it's about they screwed us with bad update full of bugs,what;s the point of touchscreen phone when u cant answer the call from screen,u cant switch off alarm and 1000000 more bugs,so yeah we need update coz they made big mistake and they owe us

I'd believe your updates may be flawed on a not from Nokia basis. I have my 5800 as my second phone (I am on two networks)

1. I can answer a call with one swipe (they are moving arrows after all)
2. I can switch off the alarm with one swipe as well (again they are moving arrows).

Almost all of the bugs mentioned here are nonexistent for my 5800. But then again I have a generic unit untouched by networks via subsidies or whatever. Its vanilla s60v5.

As for the difference between previous s60v5 units and the c5-03, the older ones have 434Mhz processors and 128mb RAM. The c5-03 has 600Mhz processor and 256mb RAM.

Just another thing though.. and you if dont have an insight i m fine by that.. 

On the main nokia.com for many countries , the N97(origianl) is still showing shown as the "my next nokia".. if the company has dumped a product .. why is it still be sold as a potential new one.. ?
