Hi, i just downloaded the update suite for my nokia 6500c. I followed the instructions to update my phone. Two mins before end of update the suite said it lost connection to the phone, i clicked retry and it then finished installing the update. When the update finished the update manager closed down. But now my nokia 6500c will not turn on at all !!

Can anyone help me at all with this problem?

Thanks for that pointer. i diid indeed try the hard reset option but so far with no luck at all. Its just my luck that something like this would happen to me, especially as i no longer have receipt for my phone lol

You can't do anything at home now. Go to nearest Nokia Service Center and give them your mobile. They will reflash the software in your mobile. If your mobile is in under warranty then you will get free service and if not then you have to pay some money. Good luck...

I dont suppose this would be something i would be able to do myself or would i be able to get this done at any mobile phone shop as i cant find my proof of purchase anywhere and there is not a NOKIA centre anywhere near me in cardiff, wales

You don't need the proof of purchase but you have to go to Nokia Service Center for reflash the firmware. Only they can do this job. You have to pay some money for this job. Remember that, nobody can reflash the firmware in dead phone. Giving your mobile to anyone else can damage your phone permanently.
