Unable to upgrade N82 firmware

I am killing my self to upgrade N82 firmware 20.0.062. Each time when nokia software updater reaches the step 3, my phone shuts down and sw updater gives message "remove the battery and continue recovery". I tried the whole process again and again but no luck.
Does any one know why its like that. Thanks

Re: Unable to upgrade N82 firmware

I would be very wary about updating to (the current) version 20.

The Device Update FAQ (http://europe.nokia.com/A4577229) state "Using Nokia Software Updater will not affect your Nokia device's Alternative Line Service" so I updated my N82 to that version and now the "line 2" function has disappeared from the menu and access via the # button doesn't work. There may be other problems as well, but I have now changed phones.

Nokia Careline referred me to a Nokia Service Centre who said it was a problem/feature of the software and they couldn't help, and that the matter might be resolved in a future software update, but no guarantee.

Nokia have now agreed to refund the purchase price on each N82 I bought. That refund is apparently under their warranty and is probably intended to obviate any claim for actual financial loss.

But, the FAQs (http://europe.nokia.com/A4577229) still state that updating will not affect [all kinds of things]. I no longer believe those FAQs. And as a responsible company, Nokia should change those FAQs, now in case other customers have the same bad experience that I did.

Newer is not necessarily better.
