Vodaphones posting was made before the announcement from skyee, so its possible that It may be held up for telstra, or if it is released it may only for vodaphone phones. Lets hope that it is released for everybody. i'm personally with optus, so i would like to see it release from them as well.

Well here is the blog from Vodafone.
http://blog.vodafone.com.au/blog/nokia-symbian-ann
Not sure what this means exactly. Is it for all phones or Vodafone only? Since I have an unbranded one I would think that I can update regardless but who knows for sure. There doesn't appear to be anything on the Telstra website about the release. I don't see anything at Optus either but then I'm not an Optus customer.

See Skyee's post here:
Says that go live will be end of the month - obviously Monday arvo when somebody in Helsinki is getting up.
What I find curious is whether Voda customers are getting PR2.01, and the PR 2.1 discussed by Telstra as being released in November will simply come later. LET'S HOPE THERE IS NO MORE WAITING BY TELSTRA CUSTOMERS WHO ARE PAYING FOR A PREMIUM SERVICE. IT WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE A RELEASE.

Does this mean that 3 will get this version on Monday as well seeing as that 3 and vodafone are 1 now?? Please Please Please....

Hopefully the Vodaphone update noticifaction will hold true across all the carriers (I'm on Virgin/Optus). Will have a crack at it this evening, it was revised for the end of October - cutting it a bit close on that one.......
I would imagine that whatever we get here will include the same update the states got after their initial Anna update. I'd be surprised it we didn't.
Any luck Nokia will make up for it with pushing Belle and the fancy windows live/office apps to us first seeing as we're not supposed to be receiving the first wave of 800 and 710's (not that I want a WP7.5 phone)

All
I just checked Telstra N8 White/Silver (059D776) at 1330 GMT9.30+, and there was no update. Have Telstra knocked back PR 2.1 as well?

I'm not even sure what other nokia phones telstra supply these days, The only things its says on the software updates site is N8's, So it also possible that E7 and the rest of the Symbian ^3 phones in the country maybe rolloed out except the N8 for telstra, who knows.
OK whose up for some harmless fun.
Lets all take a guess if you think it will or will not be released tonight ?
I think It WONT be released for everybody.
What do you all say???

imo i think itll be up on ncs but not out for public. thats my guess.. as fw tend to be up on ncs before out for public.
saying that... i'd say it's likely that anna for voda will be up on ncs tonight... as all the unbranded australian fw already out on anna on ncs. but have high doubts it'll be out for public tonight =/

It's 6.15 in the evening here in the NT, and no Telstra update! If there are any Telstra people here on Twitter - it's time to ask why!
31-Oct-2011 08:58 AM
Skyee mentioned in the official post that the Telstra release will be delayed by another few weeks.

I've managed to get it on a Virgin Mobile N8 now (8:30 Sydney), had to go though the system info for it, initial download + 2 Anna updates, one social update, and an extra optional Anna update.
Going through the extra updates right now taking a bit to install the first one, see how we go.

Anna install worked fine for me OTA but secondary updates (1/2, 2/2 etc) failed and then disappeared from the update schedule altogether. I connected to Ovi via usb and still couldn't see em. So I reinstalled anna via Ovi, worked fine and then the secondary updates were available again. Installed all via Ovi without any problems. Took forever (looked unresponsive for a long while) but worked in the end. Phew.
The web browser is in a new league. Have not got split screen typing - might be something to do with swype but I have also read that faeture hasn't come out in all countries..???

Indiana8900 - Are you a Telstra customer? Telstra are the only carrier to not have approved any update so far. If so, and your phone is still under Nokia warranty, contact Nokia Care about forcing the update. I did this and got my phone updated when I was in Melbourne recently. Symbian Anna is a massive improvement.
