Has anyone noticed any changes in the battery life after the update? I think its made mine slightly worse

My N8 has same issue, it drains if when it's in standby.....by morning it's totally dead....it was fine before symbian anna

Really Worst after charging the phone at 21:00 Hrs i have to again charge it at 08:00 in the morning without using any applications or games

For all those who have noticed worse battery life, check in your communication settings to see if NFC is enabled? If it is, try disabling it to see if that helps.

Hey what phone models u guys using?  My E7 seems to have slightly better battery usage after ANNA update.  Not significantly so though. Maybe up to 5% or so. Definitely not in the 10% region.

My C7 battery life after this update is less than 30 huors normal usage

30 hours those who wanted symbian to be more like android will be happy,

But seriously we have 2 phones in the household that have been updated to Anna a C7 and a N8 and neither of them has seen any drop in battery life both are running sleeping screen.

My N8 lasted 60 hours of normal use after the first full charge after updating to Anna. No change in battery behaviour at all. I will need to monitor it through a few more full cycles before I can judge whether there is any improvement.

must admit i cant see any difference so far. fully charged yesterday dinner time and its currently on 65%

For the first time since i got the N8, about 8 months ago, it ran out of power in the afternoon with normal use.

Before the update i charged it every 2-3 days, now at least once a day.

And btw, whats this NFC setting mentioned?

You can find the on/off setting for NFC in the connectivity menu. It is switched on by default after installing Anna.

For me it's not really the battery life but more the fact that Symbian Anna seemed to break Nokia Battery Monitor to the point that it shows really inaccurate readings.
