The majority of N8's sold in the U.S.A still do not have Anna.. None of the country variant codes have been released.. which most of the N8's sold in the U.S were.
So, Anna is still not here for me.. and many others

Anna in the US? What have you been smoking? lol

Haven't been smoking anything. Plugged my C6-01 USA version up to my computer today and there it was.. Anna 1/2 and Anna 2/2 - and my phone is now updated and running it. And I'm in the USA. So...
Taking bets now.. 6 months before Belle makes it to the USA? 1 year?

@IAmTheJody: so, what's your point? Here we are at a stage where Nokia are releasing the Anna update (as they promised they would), the Belle update is already announced and will therefore most likely be released, and you're trying to put a projected release date out there. Why? What could you possibly hope to achieve by asking this question (with a projected future date)? Is it to stir up more hysteria about Nokia supposedly being late? (notice they haven't come forward with a release date, not even a hint of one, so can't possibly be accused of being late).
If you remember, Belle was originally Symbian^4 - in other words, the next major release of the Symbian operating system. How often do Apple come out with major releases of their operating system? (annually?) How often does Google release major upgrade versions of Android? 2 to 3 was 15 months. 3 to 4 was 8 months. Does this make Symbian better or worse to have a quicker or slower release cycle? (quicker: OMG, the OS is so buggy we need to release lots of ugrades quickly... slower: let's keep things as stable as possible to allow app developers the opporutnity to develop over a platform that doesn't change rapidly) You could argue cases for either.
So, once again, not sure what you're trying to achieve by asking such a loaded question..

Firstly, you really should learn what "sarcasm" is. That was my point. But there is some validity to my sarcastic question. It took wayyyyyyyyy too long for Anna to be released in the USA so it's not out of this world to think it'll take wayyyyyyyyyy too long to get Belle in the USA too. Considering Belle is, and has been for some time now, floating around the internet, it's not like Nokia hasn't already made Belle. So what's the excuse this time? ![]()

Belle that you find on the internet you can consider to be like a beta of any piece of software. It will be fine tuned between now and the time nokia decide to release it, also taking in to account some of the issue that popped up anna, so as to make sure that it doesnt happen to Belle when it is released properly.
Like all Beta software essentially it works, and you may not have any problems with it, but remember once it is completed by nokia, it then goes to the regional office (for example Nokia NAM) to be regionalised to suit local conditions, then has to be tested by the carriers. and if all goes well, we all get it...there may be things in the version of belle that is on the net, that wont work correctly in some areas of the world, there maybe features that have not been added yet etc.
This process is the same no matter whether or not its belle or anna. Anna was held up in my opinion due to the amount of issue that occured over the last few weeks.

Belle is already available on a Nokia 700 available from Vodaphone UK. So the question is valid. Of course, I'm still using PR1.2 on my N8... Oh AnnaBelle, where art thou?
