I have the Support here for this, Sorry it's an answer 2yr after you asked after you have asked it.

I have just starting to play with Nokia 6288 and found the same file on the Mini SD card to if this sounds familiar/ UNDER MENU OPEN THE APPS. CLICK ON THE MEMORY CARD OPEN THE DATA  AND YOU FOUND A FILE NAMED NEF 32.0kB OPENED THIS  A FILE WITH A QUESTION MARK ON IT THIE NEFConfig.xml file then go back one move insted of opening it press the Options scroll down to Application settings and Select this Select  Version details mine came up with Profile: MIDP-2.0 Configurations: CLDC-1.1  

This Part I did a Google search MID 2.0 CLD1.1click on it. Discover what I found.
