I've updated my N97 to the latest software version and it has made things MUCH worse.

The photos application now doesn't work at all, every time I open it the phone freezes and has to be turned off and on again. The only way I can look at photos now is through the file manager, which is a pain because it doesn't give a preview of the image and you can't flick through them.

The camera now causes the phone to freeze up after a picture is taken. It still takes a picture and saves it, but after you take the picture you have to turn the phone off and on again. Very tiresome.

I have tried backing up the device using the Ovi Suite but it's useless, just doesn't work at all. Not too much of an issue because I've only just got the phone and there's nothing important on it.

Has anyone else had problems like this? All advice appreciated.

I have the same problem. I updated my phone to the latest version 2 days ago; and, so far so good until I turned off and now is frozen. I can only see the nokia logo and I do not what to do!!

I've waited for 30 minutes and nothing!  I am so upset. I need some help here

I have so many apps that I bought at the OVi store and I am afraid  to lose them
