Is there a compatibility between latest version of NokiaSoftwareUpdater and Windows 7???

When I put the new windows I installed previous version of NokiaSoftwareUpdater and I hadn't problem but when I started it it said me that there is a new version and I downloaded it from the nokia site. But when I tried to install it appeared a message that this operating system is not supported!!?????

Every other application is working properly!

Is there some solution about my problem???

Nokia Software Updater should be installed using 'compatability mode' in Windows 7.

To start uninstall existing version of NSU the download the latest version. 

 To install NSU in Windows 7 right click on the installer file and select the 'Troubleshoot Compatability' option.

Select 'additional permissions'  and 'worked inearlier version of windows'  and select XP SP3 or Vista SP2

NSU will then install OK and should run fine.

Dont install in 'compatability mode' its killis the phone. Wait for some time NSU will be released for Win 7. Nokia Have released PC Suite with windows 7 support. In couple of week you will get NSU with Win 7 Support.

 

 

DONT KILL YOUR PHONE BY USING NSU IN "compatability mode".

Loading and using NSU in compatability mode does not kill the phone. It works perfectly OK for me and other posts by other users tend to support that.

If you have had problems I suggest the problem may be with something else.

Not criticisng here, just trying to help others get up and running.

I'll wait  for NSU for win 7 (PC suite work fine) but this tip is good to know thank you again!

hi there,

 

I can't find any resolution so far with those couldn't run the NSU after installed it with compatibility mode of WinXP SP3.

NSU v1.8.10_en running on window 7 pro

 

Nokia PC Suite work fine, but come to OVI Suite contact sync , it didn't at all.
