i updated my N91 yesterday & i lost the arabic .. i got only english and chinees or something like that.. what should i do .. i need arabic very important.

the mods here have asked that when you get problems like this - you need to post your product code..

Where did you buy your N91? Was it name brand shop / operator branded or was it bought from no-name off-mainstreet store? If your device has not been originally sold to Arabic speaking country you might have "gray" import product in your hands and then updater will give you the language which Nokia originally put into the device. And: in case of any problems it would post your product code (from the sticker under the battery), and retry the update few days making the post.

Gray or grey import means your handset wasn't made to be sold in your region, and was reprogrammed unofficially and resold to you.

From the code you gave your N91 is APAC (Asia and Pacific), not middle east.

Are you sure arabic is not available you just need to chose it again?. A friend of mine in Damascus upgraded and it shows up English but even the Arabic varian has english and you can go in a chose arabic as the language

It took some digging around in cyber space but I think I have your problem.

0523189- This is the Euro2 language pack (French, Turkish, German etc) . There is no arabic there. Someone must have loaded 0523203 (GULF) or 0523204 (arabic) on a european device that was sold to you. When you updated it loaded it with the sw that matched your product code.

If you bought this at Nokia then go see them and tell tjem you want the arabic 2.10

No you can't change this code. You'll need a Nokia service point to load your language pack.
