PLEASE dear nokia! Make Major update for 5800(RM-356) USING V.51.0.0.6 BUT PHONE STILL LAGS LIKE SHHHH...
Problem still from v30 - when I get incomming call 1,2sec silent and then nokia tune starts to ring and NOT my mp3 melodie...
Music palyer opens up in too much time - about 7,8seconds(hard reseted the phone, formated mem card and updated to v51 but still opens up this slow, using default nokia 8gb mem card and music takes about 3gb of space)
Position to horisontal from vertical and vertical to horisontal takes long time about 4sec and in sometime 7sec...
Kinetic scrolling still dosent work smooth..
You could add option to deleate default Nokia games.. This phone has ONLY 86mb of phone memory and these games takes 1.2mb of free space what is VERY BIG on this little phone memory.. and I dont play games on my device
Radio problem - Radio freezes when I press exit and cant use radio anymore until i switch off/on phone
Homescreen improvement(picture in attachment) - you could make 40% or 50% transparent buttons telephone and contacts words not transparent but the button around is and the same in contacts bar the contacts picture and name is not transp[arent but around is or even better transparency is changeable in homescreen settings like 10%,20%,40%,60%,80% because the black/grey shape around is UGLY
And you could improve OVI Maps including in maps like Location app in phone, I mean GPS Data.. I need to quit maps to to location to see gps data but it would be more better to include gps data in OVI Maps app.. And speaking of Ovi Maps(v3.04 10wk17 b07) the connection with GPS sattelite takes 5-15min (in open area) and this is unacceptable.. The signal strengths one by one connects is in grey collor not blue like it should.. Living in Latvia, Riga - the capital and nokia maps worked wery good when i opened the GPS connection worked in about 30sec but from OVI Maps the connection is wery poor.. in first OVI Maps versions in general i couldnt connect but now it takes this much time... please fix this because if nokia maps forked fast and good I do not beleve that OVI maps cant work that good...

1. From the looks of things your phone needs a major cleanout. The v50 was a major update and you should have hard reset your phone and formatted the memory card after it if it was still hanging up. It seems that several of the old files from the old firmwares are still on your phone conflicting with the new ones causing general slowness.
2. The Homescreen thing you are requesting (transparency) is already present. Its theme dependent. Meaning you need a theme that is transparency enabled if you want to have transparent icons.

I've added pics of my 5800 homescreen (sorry for the bad quality on the other pic, I was using a 5310 and didnt notice that I was holding the phone too close). Anyway these are old Pics as I am using as homescreen shell now. I was using a grey 5530 theme then I got from forum.dailymobile.se...5530 themes are transparency enabled, and are compatible to the
5800.
3. For a faster fix, use A-GPS and Network positioning. No amount of software tweaking will allow the GPS to connect faster if you dont use both, as the receiver on the 5800 is underpowered and small compared to those of dedicated devices. And you dont need to quit maps to go to the Location app. You just need to use the task switcher (You're using a smartphone and you dont know the task switcher? You did read the manual right?). Hold the menu button until you see a small pop-up showing active apps. Choose Menu, and go to the Location App, after you have got your coordinates, get the task switcher open again and select Ovi Maps. Basically you have Ovi and Location open at the same time.
