Went to use ovi store lastnight and was informed there was an update so I installed it. Half way through installation I got a message saying unable to install. I hit ok and the program seemed to continue to install the new software (It did not just quit out) Once finished I tried to use ovi store and the loading screen shows then it seems to get stuck there. The loading indicator still rotates but nothing more happens. I tried switching off the phone and back on again with no change in results. I tried holding the power button for the 3 vibrations then switching on and again no change in results. I left the phone all night with the loading screen there and when I woke in the morning ovi store was still trying to load.
Can anyone help?

Firmware 014.002
Ovi Store Version 2.12.033

Hello @DeadmanN8,
There are two reset codes you could try, please see this

Thanks for your help. Do either of these codes remove apps from my phone?
I have just been informed by another person having the problem that a hard reset did not work for them.

"*#7780# This code resets your settings but does not delete your data."
-This is the safer one, won't do any harm, or remove your apps.
"*#7370# This code wipes all data from the main memory restoring the phone to a fresh state. It does not wipe any mass storage locations or memory cards."
-This will affect to your phone as said above.

Hi DeadmanN8,
Thanks for the information. I have removed the solution. Are you still having the same issue with your N8? I've reported this matter for investigation.

Maui

Thanks.
The problem is slightly different now.
I did a factory reset of my phone and tried ovi store and had the same problem as before. I then found there was an update available for ovi stores so I did that. When trying stores after the update I found it would try to load then it would just quit.
I then installed Nokia maps Beta which worked fine. Still having the problems with stores. I then installed LiveView beta. I found after installing LiveView beta that when trying stores I now get an error msg saying [cannot load FEAPI 'storeAPI1' ]
Not sure if that info helps any but I thought I should mention it

Very much appreciated. Thank you for the information. Nokia will look up into this matter. ![]()

I tried the procedure above and still have no change to my situation.
Ok did another factory reset and the stores app is now just quitting after attempting to start.

Is it only me having this issue now or are others still having problems?
Also I just installed Live View and I'm back to the error msg
