Oddties of N97

By looking at the number of posts regarding the N97 it seems like everyone gave up on their phones (or Nokia in total as you could expect)

Despite the fact that all Nokia phones suffer from poor software programming I will ask a few more questions regarding the odditities on my N97 or Symbian S60 v5 in general

1- The Nokia phonebook is a very useful facility where you can enter lots of information for a contact. That includes birthdays and anniversaries. I used to set up birthday reminders from calendar in the earlier days but from my N97 onwards I use the phonebook to reister people's birthdays and my N97 conveniently pops up reminder messages in the calendar when the time comes. This is great. But it does not do the same thing with anniversaries. No reminders for them. What is th logic here. Lack of foresight of Nokia programmers or are anniversaries less important then birthdays. One word to finish this off: Consistency

2- If you are a busy man who'd like to stay organised you enter all your tasks, meetings and reminders to your mobile device, right? Wrong, in Nokia's case. The calendar widget lets you see only the top three items on the screen and unless you are pyschic you're highly likely to miss the other appointments or reminders that are not in the top three. Third party developers have developed multi widget calendars but why can't Nokia do this? It's a mystery to me.

3- A new ill has shown its evil face after v22 update. My N97 decides to turn on Wifi and no matter how many times I disable it it will come back on again. There are fixes on the internet about turning the widget off then restarting the phone but even if you stop using the widget this problem keeps coming back again unless you delete all wifi access points from the settings. This drives me crazy and it should be fixed soon to keep N97 users' mental stability.

Thought I should share.
