Nokia software updater is caught in continuous loop of selfupdating :(

Well since yesterday I'm having problems with my Nokia software updater v 1.7.2sl.

First the application wanted to update itself and apparently it also did, successfully.

Now I'm having problems because the updater wants to update itself each time I start it ... again and again.

How can I solve this problem?

OS: MS Vista

Phone: Nokia 5320 XpressMusic

Re: Nokia software updater is caught in continuous loop of selfupdating :(

I´ve read several problems regard NSU in languages that are not English...

There is a workaround that some users claimed worked fine:

  1. Uninstall NSU
  2. Reboot
  3. Download NSU from here and install it.
  4. Run NSU

I hope this solves your problem, if it doesn´t get back to us.. :smileyhappy:

By clicking the "Kudos!" or the "Solution?" button on the right you can say "Thank You" and you´ll show the author and others that the post is useful.

Yes, the 1.7.3 en-us version works fine.

I didn't reboot the PC, just deinstalled the old Slovenian version and installed this US one.

Thank you for your help. :smileyhappy:
