I just updated my Nokia N97 (RM-505) with the latest firmware version 12.0.026
I found that there is a bug in the software as follows:
1) The Auto Keyguard disables the keyguard switch after 1 minute. No matter how much I slide the keyguard switch, it does not enable the screen.
2) The connectivity in the Wireless LAN does not able to connect smoothly onto the detected existing wireless LAN.
Nokia, please look into this and an update firmware is required. Thanks.

I would like to also report a bug in this software version, I receive an incidence where someone call in and the screen just hang there!
Definitely there is a need to fix this with the upgraded firmware version.

the issue is that when the screen goes black, it hasn't keylocked.
but you cant take it out of power saver with a screen press, so you think the phone is locked, flick the switch one time your actually locking it, flick the switch a second time, your unlocking it, but the software is still in the process of locking, so it doesn't unlock.
If the power saver only dimmed the light off, rather than blanking the screen, you'd see that its in power save, not lock.
Easy answer, like most other nokias with power save is to press a button first to take it out of power saver.
Experience has shown my the best are either of the volume buttons, as all the others tend to do something
(camera menu etc)

Think I'we found the solution. The problem is that If you start up the phone while USB is connected, the lock auto engange. Remove the USB, restart the phone, and it works as it should.

Not sure if this is exactly the same fault with the lock. But I've discovered a fault and fix that may lead Nokia towards the real cause.
On Version 12.0.026 if I set my auto security to be one minute and also have my keyboard autolock as the same period the phone will eventually (several times a day) lock so that I get a dark screen (no Lock Image). The keypad and buttons will not respond and the only way to get the phone to unlock is to reboot by momentary removal of the battery.
I've now changed it to 2 minutes for the auto security lock and it worked for a whole week without fail. During that time I operated several functions such as camera, radio, mp3, GPS all without fail.
Whilst the phone was faulting I had made no configuration changes or installed additional software. The phone is brand new with only the upgrade of firmware and the loading of addresses, notes and calendar.
Just to prove a point I changed the lock time back to one minute and it failed within a few hours. Reverted back to 2 minutes and it has been ok for another 2 days.
Hope this info helps someone.
