What about my current username? Like I said I will make a new profile and start myself from the begining. What false information did I give other than the N97 v2.0 firmware? There was no need for you to bring this up which I put my hands up to before and dropped it like other members and you have said clearly youself but then again theres you bringing things up again. Your just an ignorant person, and I shall not be messed around by you restarting the flame again.

Anyways back to what I was saying is information from a Nokia employee you would get more details than just a false information. It just shows the lack of communication between employees in Nokia, where they dont even know what there talking about.

The nokia guy way clearly trying to help and got it wrong, did he deserve the hostility that you gave him? If everyone is hostile towards them they will be less reluctant to help in future.

11 version is much more stable and has no bugs.

hi there, everyone, saw most of the post that shooting the new firmware update for n86, i have a question here, to be hornest when the n86 in v11 , is it a good hp ? cos i have it in v11 now, dun find any prob so far. n if all the bugs fixed will you guys think n86 can be a great hp?

Came to know that code 0586839 has got no updates... I'm still on v10.086. 

When will Nokia launch a stable good update for all the codes??

I believe this is an obvious glitch.Maybe hard reset will resolve your problem, as I don't have such issue (v20).

I bought my N86 3 weeks ago, with v11 and now the new v2.... my hardware worked good.

No problem with GPS or else (3-10 min for a fix), only funny, the switch of  screen position its not always logical.

I have a N86 V11 which i have sold just because of my sheer dissapointment nokia is treating its loyal customers , I have had a nokia phone since last 8 years . There  were problems but not this ugly . I cannot update to new features as reportedly there are huge errors (not bugs) in this new firmware and its getting no where .

And no reponse . I love symbian OS , so i am getting a samsung omnia HD . It is expensive for my budget to handle but i cannot buy n97 becuase i know till N97 mini doesnot come  iam sure as per marketing strategy kinetic scrolling will not come to n97 .

So long Nokia , Do what you want

Looks to be u r from India, as  u have the product code of ur N86 for India. I am also from the same country. Well Ver 11.46 is available for ur phone & u can update from ur phone only. U need good EDGE or GPRS speeds and also a complete backup on ur pc through the Nokia PC suite as well as a Complete backup within ur phone using the Nokia File manager, which is located in Applications-Office-File Manager. U will see the Back up option after clicking on the file manager. Do back up all with option of Backup Contents- All.

After ur complete back up, pls switch off ur phone then switch it on again. Then Go to TOOLS - DEVICE MANAGER. Once u click on Device Manager, U will see the current software ver. Click on options & then click on Check for Updates. It will ask u for permission. click Yes, it will show u Connecting. Then it will show u the update available. If its 20.115 then stop & click on cancel.

If U r in Mumbai, then contact Nokia service Centre at Mahim, Near Shivaji Park & the contact Person is Mr. Uday Zele. If u r in Mumbai, pls reply my post with Quote function so I can help u to update ur software to ver. 11.46.

mine doesn't make any tones when dialing either. but i don't mind that as much as the not being able to watch videos ! 

after downloading the new update i can't watch videos that i download onto my n86 from my pc. the captured videos play fine though.   can some1 tell me if this is a problem with my n86 that i need to fix at one of the nokia branches, or is it cause the update ?

Yes, the faulty Real Player Function is caused by the new fw.

You have to make a hard or soft reset on your phone, in order to make the Real Player working again.

But the reset destroys all of your data, settings, etc. which are stored on the phone memory.

So, you have to save your important files (e.g. Contacts, messages) first. But don't make full backup and restore, because it will restore all the trashes also.

I think for Nokia is a short detailed buglist easier to read as 10 pages bugs.

I don't know exactly how, but the Internet Radio is working on my N86 with V20 fw!

After formatting the phone, I've tried several times to run this application, but it was unsuccessful, because the application shutted down immediately when I started to search the stations.

But now, I tried to start the searching from Favourites menu, and it was success!

I'm not sure that this was the reason, maybe the application got a hidden update??

From that time, the Internet Radio is working correctly, I can search the stations from every menu.

It's too mysterious to me...
