I just come across a little bug in this new firmware.

When you change the phone from portrait to landscape or vice versa or when you slide it down for media buttons it seems that animation is not working (theme effect).

Can someone confirm this?

Yes I can confirm that there is a problem in the new firmware v20.115 concerning the shift from portrait to landscape mode when theme effects are set to "on"...The transition between the two becomes very sluggish and takes some time.

In order to remedy this, I have set theme effects to "off"..

Hello, couple questions for those that have successfully updated their N86s to V20.  Has anyone updated their N86 over-the-air in the UK ? What about using NSU in the UK? I just tried doing both without any success. Mind you NSU did'nt even recognisize my phone was attached the to PC so that was a bad start! thanks!

1st october i have update my n86 to v20.115 and now my ovi store client cant open, before that my ovi store just a link and now is true apps but has many bugs. i like to just alink.

and then my musik folder just got error it just like a new ffolder not music folder.

to solve this i must formatted my device **bleep***  , but this fw save the licence after i formatted my ngage licence are not delete sa same as when i formatted. i want ovi store just a link, not apps.

After I updated my N86 i cant watch my videos. Its saying cant open eighter the video or audio file. It happens on all videos including the ones the phone came with. I can play only the videos caught with the phone. Any ideas?

P.S. The videos were 100% working before the update.

I tried mp4 3gp and avi formats. Transfered with nokia pc suite and ovi suite. Nothing changes. The problem seems to be in the real player, but still if I dont find any solution I'm going to the store and throw out some flames.I

Hey. I had such a problem after update too. Hard Reset of the phone helped me with this problem.

Of course, it is temporary solution.. but i want my themes to be with effects, they look much more better with them. So, waiting 4 hot fix of this problem

And i want to add one more bug - in realplayer, when watching video in landscape mode i cannot fast forward video/rewind back with a help of navi key... it works only with multimedia keys. In 11 firmware it was fine.

Yes i confirm The bug in the animation transition from portait to Landscape. Very Sluggish and slow.

Also in SMS.

When i write the word's underline its fragmentated. its like __ __ ___ __ under the word. before was continuosly _______.

Pls Solve all that little problems.

I want to add again. After i formatted my phone ovi store can open, but every time i want to sign in the apps crash and close. And i think for what if n86 has UDP, at finally we must formatted again, cause this firmware has a lot of bugs than previews version. Some thing change are good but many error that give an effect to ROM. I hate this i must played 34 games ngage from zero because what, i cant back up with this fw.bleep.

Hard reset didnt fix the rpoblem with the real player. Prolly the problem is in that i backed up my phone completly?

As I thought the problem is in the backup. Now I'm trying to put back only the personal files, without settings and so on and will see if the problem get fixed.

I hardresetted my phone and 8gb internal memory without backup.

Problems still there.

I think its a nokia fault.

Hope it can be fixed very soon.

After 3 hard resets I can give you an advice to do hard reset w/o backing up the files. There is no other way, atleast for me.

i have backed up only SMS and Phonebook.

But sluggish transition from portrait to landscape with Theme's effects activated still there.

Actually i dont know what you mean with sluggish transfer, because for me its the same all the way from the moment i bought the phone. In some videos i've seen the phone transferring very smoothly, well i havent seen this on my phone. Show my one video with what you mean sluggish/smooth and i will tell you if there is difference after the hard reset.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEti0irM5cY If you mean this...then mine have never done such things. It doesnt "wake up" when I pick it up neighter does it transfer to landscape in such smoothly way. It's like going black first then reloading the display. And there is no difference after the updates and hard resets. Actually i just found the option for effects on. And yes its really annoying, but no it doesnt get fixxed trough hard reset, since I made all in all 3 resets and it doesnt change, so dont bother trying...

Animation in this new firmware doesent work as it should.

why nokia use US for betatesting their new firmwares?!?!?

its really annoying!

1. Auto rotation takes around 5 seconds when theme effects are turned on, and looks weird.

2. GPS Data: In this application, i couldn't find that satellite status which i used to see how many satellites are accessible and how many are locked.

3. Music Player: When you pause a song which is playing, and after this you make a call, the song starts playing automatically when you disconnect the call.

4. Real Player: Open any video via xplore in real player using "open by system", now you can not seek through it, ie you cant forward or rewind the video.

5. Web: Web application has started hanging and crashing more than it used to in v11.
