Can someone explain what the difference is for case colour with respect to the firmware ?? I am at a loss as to how it can make any difference.

I realise the product code will relate to the phones features, region and case colour... but why would the case colour affect availability of firmware ?

BTW, my mm menu button is broken too. Will try a re-load of firmware to see if it fixes it. hash key has never worked.

network operators tend to customise the firmware with their rubbish for added value services, but from my experience this has caused further problems.

I have N82 black. Upgrade successfull on Vista Home Premium 32bit. Product code: 0560989 In Aplication menu is now "My NOKIA" app. But, in my region isnt avivable.

Just Upgraded Product Code: 0560974 Nokia Shop UK Black Variant.

I checked the product code checker yesterday it said only V20 - I tried it today and it said V30

I went to use NSU and it said "No Updates are Available for your product" not even the option to Reinstall. I tried a it a few more times and it was OK.

Most odd.

Anyway not bricked, # key works OK (silent mode), multimedia menu working, and other than ASR working much faster and smoother, can't see any change.

Well my multimedia button does not function anymore even after reloading the firmware.

The hash key now works though which is a bonus :-)

And I'm still yet to discover what difference the case colour makes to firmware versions ???
