Guys dont waste time by replying to the quieries nokia does not have any plan to fix the bugs, its been almost 1 month after the announcement of new firmware. no update after that.others all got the update like N97,85......etc.

N79 is still a unsolved mystries.

Guess what. The update v.30 is already out but only to the Care Centers. Now I have to travel approx. 500kms to the nearest one cuz my fooking n79 is still on v.11.049 and can't update this **bleep**.! **bleep** Nokia you lazy bunch.

In my country not available in Service Care Centers. Not even Nokia Care dont know what to tell about this. They suggested me to make a complaint to the Nokia Care Complaints Department.... LOL!

NO its not come to Nokia care center, None of them know about the version V.30. Still Nokia Hide and seek is going on. No update on the site.

By keeping quiet, Nokia is saying "go away, you very annoying user you".

We will eventually go away. We will stop the moaning and the swearing thrown at Nokia.

But we will not stop being customers of some smartphone manufacturer or another.

Really? Cause i was told that if i visit the nokia center in my country they will install v 30.

I checked today in Mumbai, India for the ver. 30 for N79 in Nokia Care Centres. But no help, they don't have this new update & even don't know whether this has been released as they have told me that "Nokia India will inform them if such firmware is availbale".

Well even N97 users in India are not getting new firmware which is ver. 11. Its a hell now. I just bought N86 for a change, but what the hell, it has hanging issue with ver 10 & ver 11 is not available on any medium, be it NSU, FOTA or Nokia care centres. 

Please give me some kudos !!!

Well guess what?! Being silent now is hurting the company image more that talking about it. Nokia should have at least come out and released some sort of press announcement saying something like sorry the firmware was held back due to technical reasons or something and that they are working hard to release.

Not cool Nokia. Not cool at ALL!

If we were so lucky... But no. Nokia isn't desperately fixing bugs. They simply have no "visibility" over these matters. They are not aware that their lack of communication is pushing customers to Nokia's competitors.

Do you want something to "prove" the above?

Go to NSU, enter product code 0573853 and check the current firmware version.

Nokia does not care about individuals. We're just "users": obnoxious little things.

Nokia earns their dough from mobile operators.

Nokia's "customers" are companies, not people.

One thing i did notice that made me laugh, the phone reinstalled its self as Nokia N85, LoL

That only confirms my suspicion that the firmware is specifically made for the N85 and serves the N79 as well, but probably because of the N85 OLED screen the screensaver will not work there and Nokia didn't bother to make a different FW for the N79 that fixes the screensaver bug ..... well at least untill now...??

taranq: That sounds very plausible. The N79 and E85 firmware updates have always been paired in the past, and have near-identical fix lists.
