So I thought perhaps my N73 was painfully slow before, so I updated to the latest version on here : v4.0747.31.0.1
and although the memory free is better with 16mb free, the phone itself is even more slow to respond than before, going into messages takes 6-10 seconds, and generally the phone is even more sluggish than before.

Nokia what are you playing at? Why can't you still get it right after all these updates? N73 has to be the worst and slowest phone I have even owned, pull your finger out and fix the firmware so we a least have a usuable phone...

I have firmware V4.0735.3.0.2! Is this an old firmware? How can i update?

At the moment the phone takes ages to respond to anything, it has 10Mb free memory as i have a few pictures saved to the phone. Even when the screen saver is on and i press a button the screen takes a good few seconds to light up.

Also i want to free up the memory space on my phone but any computer i connect it to with the usb cable doesnt recognise that its in fact connected, this phone has been a nightmare! thinking about getting a Sony Ericsson, Sorry Nokia but everyone has been raving about their quality lately!!

just updated to 4.0750.31.2.1 last night. i have to say that it isn't slow at all. runs quickly, for now, when i reinstall all my apps we'll see.
i was at 4.0735.3.0.2 and didn't face the issues you are experiencing right now.
