I live in Vicenza, in Italy, and I have no nearby Nokia support centers (not near enough, anyway); so the only way to get a fw update is through NSU. The problem is, I have a 0539690 model, v3.70, RM123-145_- (15/05/2006), content "3_it", and it's *not* avaiable any update on NSU. I'd like to update fw, and also I'd like to know if fw update resets software to "basic" Nokia version; in fact i have an H3G legally unlocked phone, and if I use it with other operators' sims, I have problems with Web Browser, even with Opera Mobile, because "access points aren't correctly set". The problem is, I'm sure they are! Also, Vodafone Italy only supplies auto-config sms for 6234, can I try using it? Thank you!

I'm sorry but the link you gave me is invalid... also, I already tried the online config but it doesn't work with my operator. I have to overwrite the fw, that's also what the operator's client care suggested me to do.
