Surprise: Nokia 6120c firmware v04.21 is official realize !
Product code of 6120c : 0546339
(I check on 01.12.2007 on web site )

My question: what is the major improvements vs. v03.83 ?

What sort of 6120c do you have, ie Country of purchase, language, phone company customisation, etc. Other product codes are returning 3.83.

Hubert I was trying to connect my 6120C to my pc internet through my bluetooth/cable, not succeeded yet. Appreciate if you could pls advice how to do that.

I have updated my device with the new firmware 04.21, it works fine,i didn't notice any thing special in this update but it added some new themes.

I update my firmware to 4.21. with the application PhoNetInfo i see the phone tasks that are open:

- 1 PhoNetInfo (non-system)
- 2 EiksrvBackdrop (non-stsem hidden)
- 3 ....................... (non-system hidden) (!)
- 4 Standby (system)
- 5 Telephone (system hidden)
- 6 Main (non-system hidden)
- 7 SyaAp (system hidden)
- 8 vcommandmanager (system hidden)
- 9 Autolock (system hidden)
- 10 vcommandmanager (non-system hidden)
- 11 Log (non-system)

At number 3. is no title !!!

yes, i have also installed PhoNetInfo on my phone after i have updated my firmware to 04.21 and the list is similar to that appeared to "skayu", i don't know what the application that has no title means, i also don't know if it was present in 3.70 or 3.83. anyone can help !

the number 3. task is "Menu", but the title don't appear.
"Menu" title is present in 3.70 fw.
The application used by this task (.............non-system hidden) is menu2.exe located in Z:\sys\bin\menu2.exe and the document name is C:\private\101F4CD2\appshell.ini

Apparently is a bug. Please check it on your 4.21 firmware.

The updater says there is nog new version for my phone, I have still 3.7 at this moment. Does anyone have a solution??

The solution in for someone who has a product code that has the new firmware to describe their phone (country, language, phone company customisation) and then we can decide if we want to change the product code of our phone so we can get the new version. You can Google it o find out how, or if someone posts the above information I'll provide a link.

Well, my Nokia 6120c has the same product code like the superemo's phone, but Nokia Software Update program shows that my firmware is the latest (v. 3.83). Why?! Is there any way to update the firmware manualy? To download them like file or something like that and update the phone's firmware? Thanks!

No, because 3.83 IS latest version. Version 4.21 was drawn back because of its shortcomings.. my 6120c is also 3.83 and I'm awaiting improved 4.21.

Don't worry, this is only explanation why the update isn't available yet. This model of Nokia is relatively new so it would be odd not to provide any new updates.

i went to my service provider(orange IL) and upgraded my phone to V4.21

I have v4.21 and it is a major improvement over my previous one (v3.70). I didn't discover shortcomings yet with v4.21, while I had many with v3.70. So refer your source where shortcomings are explained in detail.

I agree with you "deadsilence" but i have noticed one bug in the camera when using the front camera in sequence mode "it tells: (general already in use)" but it is working well for the main camera, noting it was working fine for the small camera in 3.70
