Just a few bugs I've noticed:
- bug in WLAN setttings - Settings/Connectivity/Destinations/Internet/AP Name/Edit/WLAN Security Settings/EAP plugin settings/EAP-TTLS/Edit instead of showing EAP TTLS options phone just go to Home Screen.
- RDS in Radio app is not working
- Radio application can't be exited in the end
- some applications like Fring. google maps or Accuweather dissapear after new firmware is applied
- some application icons are multiplied like in previous firmware version
- Thumbs of contacts on HS are loading too long
- listing files in Settings/App mgr/Installation files takes way too long too

And in the end I would just like to mention some features that could be implemented better, like:
- There is enough space between contact thumbs and four icons to place "to do list"
- there is enough space on "Now Playing" screen on Music player for one toggle button for shuffle on/off, which is very useful in cars
- organizing and playing music in categories is nice, but the most natural way is folder organization
- Back and Forward implementation in Browser is little bit annoying
- PAP protocol is not so hard to implement 

Everything else is just perfect

These are the bugs I have so far. I planned for a hard reset soon, and hope it would help.

1. The screen won't turn off when you plugged the power. Same that it won't turn off after you unplugged from power.

2. Applications cannot be uninstalled. It says "Unable to start the installer" or something like that

3. The radio application could not be quitted.

4. The new SW update doesn't allow me to install updates. It just says fail...

Most of the time, the music player cant be closed and the song will show right on the home screen. Can remove it without restarting the phone.

Application backup & restore is something each application needs to support specifically.  So I think there may be some fault of the application itself also, not just the firmware.

Yes, my screen backlight also not go off when plug in or unplug the charger. Same also when you connect or disconnect the bluetooth. So bad

Normally, when your 5800 full charged, it will beep and turn on the screen for couple of seconds. Now it won't turn off once this was triggered.

I saw this this morning when I was prepared to bath, and it's still on after I taken my bath.

When I update my phone 2 days ago, there's 1 problem that's keeps bugging me. Sometimes (not all the time), when I went into my application, my phone says something like this, "memory full. Please close other application". But when I check using task manager, there was no running application in background. Is it maybe the update isn't properly installed or I need to re-format my phone back to factory setting? Anybody here has experience the same problem with me?

Very frustrating bug in Music Player...

 Radio haven't tried yet.. since new firmware..

In Messaging, message won't open on tapping ! The message seems selected, and doesn't respond to tapping(single or double) ... then options for message also doesn't open, only option is to exit messaging... After lots of tries I failed, even after restarting phone... 

Later on, it opened(don't know how), now it isn't again!!

About bugs... hmm...

On some ocasions i noticed LCD backlight not going off - locking it manually never failed to me and i have that habit.

RDS on radio is bugged, this seems to be an obvious underfeature/bug.

Radio and Music Player seem to be bugged on exit, on music player it never crashed on me (just took a lot of time to close), but on radio forced me to reboot phone for several times. I think there is a bug with radio/music homescreen widget, since previously radio and music were working fine.

Dual aplications shortcuts was present since day one (the bug, not the double shortcuts on the phone), but after install the firmware it appeared for some aplications (seems to occour more often for widgets) and rebooted all double shortcuts disapeared.

More errors? Hmm .. some aplications that were previously installed misteriously disapeared. This is not quite a bug, but is just plain weired that some remain and other go. (phone has preservation, but is not flawless, that's why backups exist)

Next time someone complains about image quality i must say: It's quite good given the sensor size and given resolution!

And another common complain is the touchscreen sensitivity... allow me to say: It is a very good resistive touchscreen. I used many touch screen devices, and 5800 one is pretty much flawless, the only thing i could think of is that resistive-capacitive diference causes some people to say it is irresponsive.

But about gallery, i noticed that not all pictures on the phone are on the image gallery.

On other news, i made a little test on GPS, now that we have free navigation license, and i'm surprised at how well it works. It actually made the mistake of sending me into - what is now - a pedonal area but i can't blame the maps for not having stuff that was done little time ago, but course recalculation was fast and accurate.

I agree with many comments I found here, in particular zdukenukem annotations. I like the v40 firmware, but some bugs or limitations are really frustrating.

I'd like to have, AT LEAST the following improvements in the new firmware:

1.  RDS working again
2. Another homescreen similar the basic, including the to-do list. So the users could choiche between the actual basic and the new one
3. Have the multiple icons bugs solved
4. Frequently it happens I must remove SD before I can install/remove programs. With the v31 fw I did not have these problems
5. I would like to have the chance to put widget in the HS

I hope will be soon a firmware update, for the RDS bug in particular, because my phone is Express Music, and I hear music by radio too ...

The biggest bug that is bugging me is the "radio bug". Beleive it or not, even in the XXI century there are people who like radioing. After all, if there IS a radio, I'd like to use it without fear :-)

well i've got something different issue...

everythings work but the QWERTY keyboard onscreen has gone...now i get the options for messaging like

1- handwriting

2- mini qwerty keyboard

3- Numberpad

the useful onscreen qwerty keyboard is gone...how to get it back...

hmm..i love my tube just like most of u guys..but these very few bugs are sometimes making me sad..i know that sometimes we can't expect to much from the machines that we've created, but when it failed to function as it should, what else can we feel? yes, correct my friends. u know just how i felt. i just hope that the creator of this machine would find the fix as soon as possible.

few bugs that i've encountered:

- screen on/off bugs (when plug-in/out the charger connector, when going into standby from locked screen & keypad, sometimes in inbox)

- rds in radio (sometimes it worked, but when i changed to another station it hangs)

- also there are bugs when typing texts (the think that blink when we type, dunno what to call it. it blink at wrong place sometimes)

- video player bugs (many video played improperly, sound played without images. or freeze at some point, but the sound continues)

i'll add some more later

for improvement, i think it would be best if the kinetic scrolling implemented in more menu type, not just list. also more customizable  hs would be great. or more hs themes. i would like a theme with shortcuts to play/pause, next & prev track etc. a theme with many widgets, rss feeds. rotate enabled hs. oh 1 more thing, the onscreen button. sometimes i think the placement of the buttons in landscape mode is ugly, or just not right. why must the buttons stay at the right all the time? it would be nice if we can choose few scheme for the buttons placement

New Contact bar's history frame (v.30 red - now gray) has a big disadvantage. Clicking on any of the history's list rows, now the phone immediately starts dial to this contact. In ver 30 it just opens the Log page.

Why it is necessary to dial from everywhere!? There is a button to do this.

You have full Qwerty keyboard when you select Numpad (Alphanumerical Keypad) and put mobile phone in landscape position.

The only thing you lost was the Alphanumerical keypad in landscape position ... that was handy when operating with one hand in landscape mode... (i.e.: input stuff when web browsing)

I noticed another bug or annoyance:

In many live update stuff (usually widgets, but native aplications suffer from the same issue) label boxes (a bit technical here, sorry) blink when update... this happens in many places: Web related entries seem to be more prone to this, but i got it in GPS positioning for example.

I was developing some widgets when i noticed this... widgets actually have an API entry to prevent blinking, but changing a text value to another is not expectable to view the text blinking when it changes...

The most annoying bug i`ve found is that after updating my 5800 it won`t push music to my in car stereo anymore via bluetooth.

Sometimes it starts to play and then seconds later cuts out the audio.

It seems to pair ok.

It still suffers from the connect/disconnect problem many others have had aswell.

Also had the installer running in tasks problem,but a hard reset solved that one.

Anybody else had problems with bluetooth since the update?

I have facing a similar problem. When I connect my phone to a bluetooth stereo headset, after a couple of minutes when I disconnnected it and open any video file, found that the sound is not coming from the stereo speaker but from the ear speaker (which the volume is too low to hear). I have to restart the phone to solve the problem each time I use my bluetooth headset, quite annoying for me...

I have found the following bugs.These are the obvious ones which was stated earlier:

i) Backlight behavior - during charging cycle, accessory connection and bluetooth enable disable stage, the back light stays put and it is annoying!

ii) random blinking of the typing screen appearing in browser, messaging etc

Other than that, I have experienced this:

i) Unable to check for firmware update. There is no server profile defined. Is that the case before the firmware update? I am not sure, can anyone check and confirm?

ii) Unable to install Opera Mini from Ovi Store and from Opera.com website download. Error message: "Failed to connect to internet" during installation stage.For Opera Mini 5 beta app, same problem exist. Error message: "Resource download failed java.io.10Exception".

iii) Login problem for some sites in default browser.Unable to login to Yahoo! mobile site; iGoogle mobile site not sure if there are others

iv) Music Store browsing issue. Receive error message: "Music Store: Unable to perform operation" appearing in random pages and need to restart application. The problem appears intermittenly. Pressing the Option Menu button (bottom left button) also will trigger the error message.

 Would appreciate if anyone can share some light on item iii and iv as it really frustrates me as it prevents me from entering the sites listed and download music.
