These are the following bugs i have found in the Nokia 5800. Please do add yours to this post that you find. So other users who have not got v20 can decide if they want to update to v20.

Bugs...

.1.

When receiving new message and viewing it, the little envelope icon on the left in the inbox is still set to closed. its not like previous firmware where the envelope is open once you view your message.

.2.

Check your battery on the right hand in the main screen just say for example u got 3 bars, now go in to music player and play a music track and u will notice it will be 2bars instead of 3. It will always be 1 bar below than what u got on the main screen battery status bar.

.3.

If updating from previous firmware with lock code enabled to v20. your phone will not be accessible whatever pin code u enter either ur own, or default codes... 12345, 00000 etc (BEFORE UPDATING TO V20, TURN OFF YOUR LOCK CODE !) 

Would be great if NOKIA could add more themes with the phone rather than just one. ope to see a new update for this.

I can confitm bug no. 1.

As for no. 2, my battery is full at the moment, so it's showing full even in music player.

3 - I never use lock code

Possible bug in new V20

I came to notice that,in some menus like music player,the battery meter doesn't display properly.Right now I have only the last mark and it doesn't show in portrait mode.When in landscape it's fine

5800 Features/Updates for v20.0.012

This is what I have found out about the new firmware..

- Faster operation, speed improvements for Java apps as well.

- Geo-Tagging support for both camera and the video recorder.

- Tabs on messaging application are bigger and has animation when selecting next set of tabs.

- Secondary Camera can be used to take pictures

- Gallery loads much faster.

- Improvements to the camera.

- New music and download icons

- Better touch sensitivity.

- Flash applications now have a D-pad, like the java ones.

- Improvements to Mass Storage profile stability.

- 3 new application have been added. “app.update” (in the application menu), “Dictionary” and Search (for files and media in storage and web).

- Better bass reproduction.

- Ability to edit the Artist, Album, Genre etc in the Music Player.

- Zoom, Full Screen and Pan options for Flash video.

- Much faster screen rotation.

- Voice recorded files now show up in the Sounds folder in the Gallery.

The update by the way has a very irritating bug. During typing on text boxes, the backspace stops working, the enter button as well. And scrolling left and right is impossible at times when using the built-in internet web browser. So far thats the only bug i found. Damn it. Oh well.

and...

when my handy blacklist app has its active standby indicator on the desktop of the phone is turned on, when i tilt the phone horizontally, it disappears or changes its color depending on the theme and switches back to normal when its back vertically. Not much of an issue but is still something that shouldn't happen. I guess.

when choosing a ringtone from profile an error message appears " not enough memory to display ringing tones in the memory card"

it also appears even with only one ringtone in memory card

that's annoying does any one has a solution

My nokia 5800 are fine in ver 11, after I update to ver 20 some series bugs occur,

1. Screen takes on a purple / green / red tinge, like there's a screen malfunction. tested and mostly appear when try to play back video or capturing images/video. [ this is very serious bug]
2. The new search function some time crash and need to restart the phone.
3. When capturing images, some images didn't follow the orientation of my holding position, e.g. when i snap photo in landscape mode, the output images are in portrait mode. and I need to manually rotate it 90 degree to get it back to landscape mode.

there are the new problem i found the clock it late every day to 10 : 20 sec.

UPDATE: More bugs found

- When listening to Music M4A (aacPlus 48KBits) there is hissing sound sometimes played through speakers, also when selecting any tracks there seems to be a bit of sound playing for 1sec and quickly goes off n plays the track u selected to listen to (this happens with earphones and speaker)

- When screen is rotating left or back to normal sometimes the phone display will stay black with Green/White/Red lights on the buttons and the phone wont do nothing until removing battery adn turning it back on.

- When recieving a call sometimes when i press the answer touch button it wont do nothing so i have to use the green button instead.

UPDATE: Texting Bug

- In the previous firmware v11 i had no problem texting fast as the space bar and other touch buttons would respond fast but in this new firmware the space bar and other buttons respond really slow.

- when texting sometimes Il get purple rectangle over some buttons such as the E, V, S key etc but wen i touch the button with the purple rectangle on it then it dissappers.

On updating to 20.0.12 I found the following bugs:

• The Search: Internet and My Content link on the home screen just gives me a System Error message
• I can't find the three new apps that were supposed to be included (trust me, I've looked)

I have even tried to reset the phone to factory defaults, but that didn't help at all; the same problems persist.

Scratch that, I uninstalled some apps that I wasn't using any more and, 'lo and behold,  Both those issues were resolved.  Who knows why they were issues in any case...

 I found a solution to my problem at last

I formatted the memory card and everything is just fine with the new firmware v20

You are a genius of the highest order, it indeed did the trick.

Now the only issue is the Messaging Envelope not opening when read.

I can confirm bug one, but I've another big problem after the update: the bluetooth secnin funcions only in the general menu. I cannot move to the second (attached devices, or find new devices) and to the third (don't let devices to connect). Only going to the help and choosing the other menus I can reach them.

Anyone with the same problem?

i experienced this problem too, got a red tinge wen watching a video. had to turn mob on/off

i had v11 before and this problem occured wen i updated to v20.

another interesting thing is that when i connected the mobile through wifi, it said no updates were available for my mobile, and through the Nokia Software Suite i got the update done

also prev in the device update it was mentioned as Nokia-blue now, its generic
