Hello,

I have Nokia 5800 XM - RM356. My Firmware version is v30.0.011.

I can see new version available v40 for my phone on Nokia website.

But, when I try to update my firmware. It says 'no new updates available'.

I tried both ways using *#0000# and using Nokia Software Updater via USB cable.

1] Am I missing something like server profile when I try OTA way (I have default server 'Nokia')?

2] Is this nokia v40 is region specific?

I am sure that my version has lot of bugs and that's why I want new and more stable firmware version.

Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.

Firmware is product code specific. Not all product codes get the firmware at the same time. Some get it early, some can get to be as late as three months.

Type-RM356 'No new Firmware available

Firmware is available  but RM356 has a couple of hundred individual products so far about 50% of them have the upgrade ready .

You fine your code under you battery, put in that page and see if the update is avilable for you, I had the same system as yours, I updated mine.. v40 is great, connect your phone to a WiFi connection and try updating it OTA, if you already done that, then maybe you should rest your phone.. maybe it's a bug..
