I have v 09.42 (RM-303) installed on my 5310 phone.
Since the update my speaker (not the one for music) is alot more quieter than before, it is really annoying, because I can't call anyone if there are any envoirement sounds around, because I don't hear them at all.
Can I downgrade back to v 8? Or is there any new updates? (nokia update software says that v9.42 is the last version)
I really started to hate Nokia because of this problem...

hi there,
First i will start from ur last questions
U cannot downgrade ur phone's firmware
Nokia never preinforms about firmwares updates u have to constantly look in Nokia's website with ur Product code
phone after a Firmware upgrade sometimes misbehaves it is advisable to once reset ur phone in ur case *#7780# reset will get back the original phone settings since it is not a S60 smartphone
the problem u have reported may be also bacause of hardware Failure since it is related to speaker u have to take ur phone to a nearest Nokia care center if the about suggestion didnt turn up fruitful
have a go at it and come back
Cheers...........

Thanks for the info.
Although a hardware failure is extremely unlikely and I hate nokia care centers, they take at least 30 days to repair anything, I guess I don't have much of a choice... ![]()

I did try the reset.
But I don't think it did much of a difference or any at all.
I guess i'll have to go to a noisy place to be 100% but it seems nokia care center is the way to go.
