Hi,
I recently updated my Nokia 5310 XpressMusic phone's firmware via PC and USB data cable. I followed the instructions to the letter including backing up all of my data prior to installation.
The problem is that afterwards I noticed (probably a day later) that my phone's IM applications were all gone. AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ all completely gone. The menu that used to hold them was called IM & E-Mail yet now the only option in that menu is E-Mail.
I bought the phone about a month ago, so Feb. 09. And the current new firmware I installed and the phone shows to have running is: V 08.22 RM-304 (04-11-08) I don't remember exactly what version it had when I bought it, I think V 5.XX something.
Any info on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I am having this same problem too.
I was perfectly satisfied with my phone which had firmware version 5.xx
Yesterday I upgraded the firmware to the most recent available version of 8.22
Unfortunately, I no longer have access to IM functionality, and when I select Email all I receive is a blank screen.
Any help would be wonderful
