Anyone have problems with the new 04.14 firmware version of the Nokia 3250 aside from the sound quality issue?

Here are some of the bugs I found from the new version:

1.Phone hangs when I use any application that utilizes Bluetooth (eg. Bemused,Salling Clicker..). Pressing any button even the power button does not work so removing the battery will be the only way to recover from the error.
2.The music player stops randomly without any reason. The time counter does not move yet the music player is still in play mode which is pretty impossible. I noticed this when I use text messaging functions.
3.The new text message icon located near the battery level indicator appears even when all of the messages are already read. When you exit from the messaging menu while this bug is in effect, the messaging application hangs. Powering off is required to recover from this error.

Hope that Nokia fix this problems quickly in the next firmware version or enable us to flash our firmware to older,better working versions of the 3250 firmware (03.18 and 03.24 works good).

The PRoblems/Upgrades I faced are As Follows

When Music Player is On and you Receive a MEssage the MEssage ICon is there but you cant Open MEssages the Phone Stops , Only Way is to Restart your Phone ,

But I Formatted My Cell , And After That I didnt Faced That Problem Again

Sound Quality Sucks Big Time , May be Its Nokias Own Marketing Technique So That We Throw this Cell Phone Away and Purchase an Old One ,

There is No Language Support , I have Arabic Written On my Keypad but , Software Doesnt Support It , It Sux

The Cam Quality Imporved Or may be Its just that my optymistic heart's decision

Now The Radio's Sound is Louder than Music Players Sound.
The Quality Sucks Big Time Of Music Plyaer

Phone Used To Hang Or USed to Restart when I listend to Radio Over GPRS , but After Upgrading Firmware Didnt Faced This Problem

anyone got this problems

-sms get wrong time - its 9hours earlier than i get it
(i had them on 3.24 and now on 4.14 software version)

-when somebody calls me i cant switch to speakers...when i call someone it works.

-outlook sync: sometimes, when i sync repeating things (eg weekly) and delete one of these series in outlook, the phone still shows it....

do you know how to fix that?

Updated mine today with Software Updater and I have Arabic in my phone again. Apparently that's been fixed then.

why don't they respond! did we find our phones in the street or something! i upgraded to 4.14 and lost my lang!
i did'nt buy it in english only, i have an arabic keypad,
i want to use my language!,
why did they remove the language pack from the upgrade!!!

that doesn't include the low volume, i thought this model suppose to be an phone+MP3 Player!! now it's just a digital watch!

I upgraded my phone to 4.14 but i'm not facing any of the problems mentioned above.

the only thing that's bothering me is the mp3 player now. the quality of the music has become so poor. i'm so angry. wish i could downgrade.

anyways...i'm thinking of using a 3rd party mp3 player. may be it'll play better.

what Firmware are u using? and where did u upgrade it?
did u do use nokia updater?
did u goto Nokia support center?

U'er the only one i met that does'nt have that problem!
and it's not only with arabic, other languages too.

u could have the solution for all of us,
Maybe nokia might hire you. :-P

that was not the deal here, i bought this phone with spacific Specs. now should we a have refund!!
cause the way i see it! we'er being neglected here.
I'm so so frustrated right now.

for the consumer sake....thats us by the way (:-|)
fix the firmware or upload a new upgrade.

as for the low volume, i tried to use other nice software,
not that much difference!

I updated with Software Updater and the SW version number is 4.14 still. Maybe they just released a new, fixed version under the same version number(?)

I updated my phone late last week (can't remember exact day), and indeed now I have Arabic in my phone.

Try updating yours now and I'm sure you'll have Arabic in your phone again, if you had it in your phone at the time you purchased it.

i just reinstalled 4.14 on my phone, i got my language back, horaaaay :-D

Mile, other people too lost thier language, it's not just arabic. i think russian and chiness, and others!!!
i seen other people on other forums, and i think here too!
anyway, anyone has the same problem, update noW

that is not true in my case,,,, I re-upgraded yesterday 8/4/2007, but no change, I still have the same problem of missing the arabic language ...!!!!! I wonder of 2 things; why they neglect the arabic language support? while the midle east represents a very wide market for selling their phones more than any area in the world!!!!! also, they did not warn us honestly about this update problem, so we would't follow their corrupted program!!!, finally, we are shouting here for many days waisting out time and no one give us a solution !!!!! where is the nokia team???!!!!

i updated my nokia 3250 and when i read your posts i felt stupid guys.... i mean if i had first looked it out i wouldnt had it updated......... i havent still faced any problem but shame on nokia... i hope they will fix the update and all your problems SOON!!!

only problem i faced is losing Greek language..if anyone knows how to reinstall the language help me please....

I've had the following problems since upgrading to 4.14:
-random error message "application standby mode has crashed"
-s60 browser can no longer browse slashdot.org/palm comment pages. The reason seems to be the page is so short that the browser does not display a scroll bar. However, at the same time it disables jumping between links using the arrow keys.

Makes me wish I could downgrade.

hello everybody. M from Cambodia, asia pacific, m currently using 3250, firmware v4.14, but i didn't see any bugs as you guys raised. Anyway, about sound quality, from my experience, if i use audio adapter original AD-41, it produces noisy sound, in contract if i use AD-49 from N72 with headset HS-28 from N91, it produces superior sound quality in case i set EQ + Bass boss On, my EQ is: 1st band = +4, 2nd band = +2, 3rd band = +5, 4th band = +5, 5th band = highest. For AD-49 + HS-20 + Bass boss On, i set it to: 1sr = +6, 2nd = 0, 3rd = +2, 4th = +2, 5th = +8. so hope u guys found some interests from my experience.
