but i dont recommend it.. nothing much is fixed in it.. y ou may exp. lower battery life.. thats all.. hope nokia gets this.. they are silent spectators.. doing nothing..

does that phone support something like rejection list like in some samsung phones,if it does, could somebody tell me how to  find it?? and if it doesn't I hope next update should have it.

no.. its not there.. but im sure they wont release another update..
im sure that they have stopped supporting the phone..

i formatted my phone.. same firmware version.. but a few bugs related to media player were solved.. and the audio quality and camera quality also improved.. it seems that Nokia is supporting.. but just not updating the firmware version..

hey i think the audio chip of 6303c is great as the audio quality through earpiece (not the 1 provided by default. But other 3.5 mm branded or higher model nokia earphones). The low ringtone is due to cheaper speaker that they provided in phone.
2. And the low memory problem with many java application is due to 16.7 million colours. I think 2.62 is good colour range for a low memory and small screen phone its 2.2 inches phone so its hard to find any diffrnece between 2.62 or 16.7 but as u calculate for every pixel the ram requirement is incresed by a considrable amount which is leading towards out of memory error and thus even a single image will took up all 2mb memory. Thus most games which can work with 2mb memory java ram limit will give error in this phone.
3. Life tools flicker msn all the integrated programs in this 6303c phone uses a lot of resources. As we know that internal memory is low and ram is also low that makes the system sluggish. I think nokia should provide us ability to delete them by own.
4. I think in update it must provide us the abality to choose colour modes ex 2.62 or 16.7 million.
5. It must allow users to download and instal applications directly to memory card as now it only install to phone memory which is already low.

dear the basic reason for having low capablity of this model is. Memory. 1st it has low internal shared memory only 17 or 21mb . Also the default games tones application actualy reduces it to 10 to 11 mb only as thesd are undeletble items. 2. Low ram which limits the ablity of java applications . 3d feature can nt be exploited fully unles u hav good ram same is with color and depth. 3. The camera is great capable of taling huge pics but at the same time i want to clear one thing that its of bad quality as it is only good in good light conditions otherwise the image will be grainy. Cleverly they hav provide the flash led to hide the weakness. To check this try to take a indoor snap disaling the flash. And this make the camera to took image from closer distance as flash hav its effect upto certain distance Only. That is the reason why pics are good when taken close and indoor video quality is very grainy. When we are limited to take image at close what is the advantage of having a 3.2 megapixel camera. 4. Do u tried tab view that hav been provided as a view option for main menu. Never try that because that wil make ur phone slow. 5. And after then update to 10.12 u will find that ur phone already became slow coz they hav integrated some more software into ur phone. 6. For java game lovers. Bad news is that now u can not extract the zip folders containg jar files. Even u cant rename extension to .jar using third party software. Though u can change the unsupported extension to any other extesion including no extension except .jar . But any filed without a extension can be renamed as .jar extension using defalt nokia file options.

nokia are traditional very traditional they never change the user inface. Its allways same for all with minnor changes.

@ deepakk u can delete those protected files and applications using software in ur computer..some of them are mobile media browser..

some wallpapers can be deleted but for delteting software like nokia life tools i tried many things but not able to get rid of them.

Hi everybody,

I am also using nokia 6303 classic and satisfy by this set over all except the single problem that memory got dumb and set hanged sometimes and need to flash again and again even twice a week 

Someone please help me how to download the latest offline version of rm443 like 10.12 so that I can Flash it myself at my home's PC and can update the new version without using internet or NOKIA PC SUIT etc.?

And no need to spend money to the service centre or repair it again and again?

I have installed J.A.F to flash but require the offline 10.12 version setup.

Please help me out.........

I have a problem with nokia 6303's back light duration....
One of the very disgusting problem found in 6303 is this, when i use java applications back light goes off instantly...for example while browsing with opera mini or reading ebook in an application we need to click on a key to turn the back light on...
Nokia s40's older versions had an option called power saver, that option was helpful for extending back light time..but nokia removed that option for latest s40 releases...hopes nokia will include that functionality in next firmware release...
