The new firmwares for the N79 and N85 has been released today.
V20.175 (same version number for both phones) is available through the nokia software updater for many generic codes.
Not sure if it's available as an over the air update or not yet.
As per usual it may take a few weeks before it's widely available. Owners of network branded or locked phones will have to wait until your network approves the update.

I only noticed that volume indication is different. Now there is a flat line, the louder you make, the longer the line. It's better now, because volume level is easier so see, especially in bright enviroment..
I also already said in v11 discussion, that it would be very good if they allowed to configure screen rotation, I mostly need it only in gallery.
I really don't like that pretty often when i try to make a phone call desctop swithes to landscape mode... That's why i keep my auto rotation off, and it will be off with v20 too

Is this supposed to be only for selected product codes?
I found it in the applications menu. It's this thing.

According to the changelog, rotation is now disabled when you make a call.

Thanks. But when I try to install my language pack (russian) it says 'installation is not possible. Please install base pack". Don't know what they mean? My phone is official N79 with russian product code. Which is 'basic pack' for me? They should fix it...
On autorotation they probably mean they disabled it when phone is already dialing a number. Wasn't it like this before? And still, even if that's the case phone switched to landscape once.
But i meant when I'm trying to make a call. e.g. hold phone vertically, ocassionally it switches to landscape.. Only because of that i don't use auto rotation..
Oh, I c why I can't install those language packs.. They mean that they have only add ons and i have to have some basic package already on the phone to use those add ons.. That base pack didn't come with new fw for me for some reason..

Just updated my friends Nokia N85. This firmware bring much needed improvement. So far so perfect, phone runs in a super snappy way. Nice upgrades such as, flip silent are really appreciated. And for all those who have been haing charging problems via usb, they have been fixed. The phone now works perfectly, and much faster.
After upgrading my very Nokia N96, and comparing the two side by side, the Nokia N85 is that much quicker at everything, although the Nokia N96 v20.050 is still a godsend which makes the phone run beatifully as well.
Other niceties such as loads of screen saver choices, and the cool sounds for openig and closing the slide, make the N85 a phone to fall in love with all over again.
We all agree that Nokia can delay their devices a bit longer, until the software that they release it on the market with operates like v20.175 on the N85, then they would have rave reviews. But be that as it may, a little patience has paid off. We complained and Nokia listened. Here's to the Nokia update firmware team, for a job WELL DONE. Updated the phone in like 8 mins flat. WELL DONE

Updated my N79 (UK - white) which went smoothly. I was never really badly affected by bugs in v11 (except the music player which regularly locked up) so I'll give it a few days to see how it goes.
Once thing I've noticed is that share online has been updated to v4, and ovi is the only service available. Previously I had used flickr however this is not longer available. Probably not firmware related, more share online / UK. Still, it would be nice to have it back !

I updated using FOTA and Screen Saver problem is not solved! (N79)
About dictionary i guess it depends on Product Code...

Incredible that screen saver problem still isn't solved, that would be the only reason for me to upgrade.
All those small bugs that you might even never encouter are fixed ore taken care of and the ONE thing that ANNOYES me EVERY SINGLE DAY and EVERY TIME I look at my phone is just neglected for a top range phone?!?!.
NOKIA you dissappoint me very much, don't know if my next phone is going to be a nokia again!!

@greyghost :
I've had several Nokia phones in the past and all of them had a perfectly working powersave mode. So why in the hell break something in a newer release? I don't care about all kind of new stuff if that means that previous functionality will get broken, and I can't imagine that this could be so difficult to solve. I've heard many nokia users complain about it in different places. We pay enough money for a phone to have such basic stuff solved in just one FW update. But i guess the nokia crew if not interested in user opinion. So I will let my opinion ventilate whenever and wherever I can....
