Hello,
I have found on a few different nokia-related-pages that is a new firmware for nokia 6110 navigator (version 6.01). no information about bugfixes, nokia service centers seem to already have it. more to come.

Ok here comes the first news and bugfix list from 5.11 (and i add 4.22 infos) (i use the numbers from here: /discussions/board/message?board.id=swupdate&message.id=40488&query.id=554906#M40488 )
a nokia service center did update my phone to version 6.01.

firs of all: seems to be a again just a mini-upfate as 5.11 was.
- Nokia 6110 Navigator gets firmware 6.01 (02-09-08)
- Nokia Navigator-Program is still version 8.0.12274 (11422) as it was in 5.11, no updates, no routing towards coordinates as in newer route66mobile8 available.
- New firmware seems to get better satellite-signal (not faster, but better signal and therefore more satellites that are actually used)
- No flash lite 3.0, still 2.0
- Maybe sound quality improved in carkit-mode for the one using the phone, was not yet able to try to talk with another person
- Battery bug fixed (as in 5.11)

now concearning the other bugs:
1- could not yet try that alarm-bug
2- fixed, i hear no sound-crack
3- not fixed, volume +/- still not activated in games
4- i have no dual-sim, can not try this
5- idem
6- not fixed, deleted numbers still in protocol
7- didnt try yet
8- not yet noticed, maybe fixed
9- not yet noticed, maybe fixed
10- could not reproduce the problem
11- not yet noticed, maybe fixed
12- didnt try yet
13- flash lite 3.0 missing
14- didnt try yet
15- fixed
16- not yet noticed, maybe fixed
17- in funkwerdabendorf-carkit with bluetooth soundquality seems to be improved, but didnt yet talk with someone else on phone
18- not fixed
19- fixed
20- maybe improved now
21- didnt try yet
22- didnt try yet
23- not fixed, but might be due to the fact, that pc suite has full access during that time to the memroy, therefore musicplayer not
24- not yet noticed, maybe fixed
25- not fixed, old nokia navigator-oem/route66mobile8
26- fixed
27- no changes
28- didnt try yet
29- didnt notice that
30- no change, still rather slow
31- not yet noticed, maybe fixed
32- not fixed, flash still very greenish/blue
33- no change, button still linked to nokia navigator
34- not yet noticed, but due to the fact that it is the same version as in 5.11 and i have had the problem there too, the problem might still be there
35- didnt try yet

so here we go. you might find out too, what they fixed and what they havent fixed yet.

Could you please try whether the carkit still causes an echo on the other side during a call?

That will be my greatest cause of running to the first Nokia Centre to have it loaded on my 6110n.

it is still as bad as before.
may i add another bug (also in version 5.11, dont know if it was in 4.22): if paired in carkit, the inbuild-speakers volume is automatically decreased to second lowest level. if you disconnect the phone, it will stay at this level. you have to manually increase again, or you might miss phonecalls and so on.

I've been waiting for over a month for ANY kind of firmware better than v3.(whatever) to be available on NSU.

If they posted bad firmware, then fine.. revert to an older update. No need to completely take it down

COuld be that this is another way to get still money from nokia 6110 navigator-users (as they will certainly not pay for nokia maps when they got route66mobile8-oem-nokia navigator). it cost me 20 euro just for the update. and if people want to update, they go to the nokia service point, or they hope that maybe the NSU will be restored for that phone and that maybe newer firmware will be added.

bug number 1: alarm-clock bug (weekdays) got fixed in version 6.01 (finally!!!).

however the real-player bug (number 29), where the first second we simply just see a black screen (depending on the file-format, 3gpp), is still not fixed.

i've a new bug, the clock date is changing by itself
this happens after an alarm, even if the alarm is not linked to workdays.
I updated 10 days ago through NSU, the updating was without any warning; then I tried resetting the phone (*#7370#) and yesterday re-installing the 6.01 newly on NSU.. this morning, a few minutes after the clock-alarm the date changed to friday

Hi guys,

I have a new problem with the alarm which is that after I press the 'snooze' button when the alarm comes on, the phone does NOT wake up again 10mins later as it used to do, but just keeps sleeping (which makes we vulnerable to oversleeping and losing my job

When I switch it on manually, obviously the alarm then goes off, showing the time it was *supposed* to go on again, but didn't.

This is really bad as it renders the alarm quite useless to a certain group of people like me, who want to sleep 'just another 10 minutes'.

So we can add another bug to the list of bugs.

If anyone knows a workaround for now, pls let me know asap.

pls i need the latest firmware update, i have v 5.11 currently
